The process to get and return the vehicle is terrible, they try to force you get additional insurance even if you already have one. The car was very dirty and in terrible condition, scratches and dents everywhere and a larger hit in the front bumper. The inside wasn't any better, a broken handle to open the trunk, stained and dusty seats, I even had to clean the inside of the windshield because I couldn't see with the sunlight reflecting on the dirty windshield.
The car return was also a problem, first to find the right place because Hertz is not with the other car rental companies and I didn't see any sign that showed the correct path, when you get there you have to wait until their personnel goes to your car and verifies the gas level, condition of the car and keys which took a little more than 10 minutes, and after that you have to head into the office, make another line and close your contract, another 15 minutes.
In general, not a good experience
September 25, 2019 to October 7, 2019. Entire rental process went very well. Not one problem and staff were great. Great rental location with clean facilities and cars. Rent from them with confidence. I have traveled to over 20 foreign countries and never had a better rental experience.

avis rang me at 7.24am because the client before insisted to contact me to see if his phone was forgotten in the car, then got poor apologies from avis saying it was the client who asked...am i not a client to be considered?
Be prepared for extra hidden fees. They charged me $300.00 security deposit and were supposed to return it. Never did. Instead they told me that this much for that and this for that. A rental went from 75.00 to around 320.00. I specifically asked if I had to refill gas, I was told that I don't have to and they won't charge me. That didnt happen. Stay away from them. I was so dissipointed.

The car was poorly cleaned. Don't think the inside windshield had ever been cleaned as it took me 30 mins with windex to get the film off. Spilt milk? in the cupholders.
Very slow at the counter for pickup and drop off. Not a convenient location.
Service and response around damaged window poor. Why should I pay 25% on top of paying for the window repair, contract poorly written

We rented from the Newberry airport in Buenos Aires and also from El Calafate - in both cases using Europcar. The counter staff at both places were absolutely wonderful! They provided detailed explanations, took care of all the paper work very professionaly, and were very friendly and service oriented. I would highly recommend them.
La voiture n'a pas dépassé nos attentes, bien au contraire. Les feux de croisement étaient mal réglés et il s'agit de feux qui se règlent mécaniquement (il n'y a pas de bouton de réglage dans l'habitacle). Nous n'avons donc rien pu faire et avons été obligés de rouler en feux de route à chaque fois que cela a été possible.
La batterie de la voiture était naze et nous a lâchée. Le véhicule s'est même complètement arrêté une fois au beau milieu de la route!
Les essuie-glaces auraient eu grand besoin d'être changés.

No one at the Melbourne office answers the phone and I had to ring Singapore to get a message across that my flight was delayed
I had no idea if the buses were still running. Not good service
We could not process the €1,100 deposit on any of our credit cards- so forced to buy the €300 premium insurance.
After car hire finished we were sent a bill for €106 for cleaning fee and let delivery.... this was NOT communicated to us before we took the car hire.
So for a $200 car hire we have now payed in total $800 !!!!
This is ridiculous. And something we simply cannot afford.
We will be contacting our credit card company to dispute the final charge.
And very disappointed with this experience.
