The handling of accidents was inadequate. The rental company did not provide insurance or assistance hotline for rescue, so I had to bear the transportation costs myself in case of an accident. Additionally, no invoice was provided after charging the excess fees for the accident.
I booked a sedan Toyota Corolla, but the store gave me a hatchback instead. Please note, sedans and hatchbacks are classified into different categories when booking, with hatchbacks being a lower tier. Since I had a lot of luggage, I had to switch back to a sedan. After discussing with the staff, they insisted that I booked a hatchback. I showed them a screenshot of my order and explained that, although it was in Chinese, the image clearly showed a sedan. Eventually, they reluctantly gave me a sedan Toyota Corolla, but they told me it was only because I rented it for one day; if it had been multiple days, they wouldn't have accommodated me. I'm not sure who is to blame here, but the experience wasn't pleasant. Additionally, the car's condition was one of the worst I’ve encountered in years of renting. The trunk seemed to have been in an accident, with large gaps. The mileage was near 60,000, which is quite high. The seats and door panels were filthy, with even some graffiti from a marker.
The process is simple and smooth. They might try to sell you insurance during pickup, claiming there's no coverage without it, but you can just ignore them.
Everything was satisfactory, except for the fact that there were many people during pickup, so I had to wait in line for a while. The car hadn't been cleaned yet, so I waited for some time.
Pickup was quick. I had reserved a Forester, but found a nail in the tire upon receiving the car. Reported this to the front desk, and they promptly replaced it with an X-Trail.
The experience was excellent. I originally booked a Camry, but switched to a Volkswagen SUV after seeing it. The process was very quick, and the car was in great condition! Extremely satisfied.
It was average, the experience wasn't great. Initially, an Indian lady assisted us, but she was quite indifferent. Later, a Chinese staff member helped us. She first tried to sell us insurance, but when we told her we had already purchased full coverage in our home country, she asked us to choose between a Hyundai and a Kia. I had booked a Hyundai, and since the two cars are different in size, I insisted on getting the Hyundai.
Very satisfied. As soon as we left Melbourne Airport, a shuttle bus picked us up. The driver helped with the luggage and chatted with us along the way. The service was thoughtful. At the rental office, the process was simple; they just asked a few questions before handing over the keys. The pickup location was convenient—find the designated car on the fourth floor of the parking lot and you're ready to go.
