The car only had a quarter tank of fuel despite there being a full tank policy and Budget retained a fuel deposit. However, upon notifying Budget, they assured me that there would be no charges to my account.
I’m very disappointed about the woman that was attending at the counter (14/10/2022-23:00aprox Melbourne airport). When she knew that we are Colombians she started to talk about cocaine and the good quality of Colombian cocaine. For me and my brother, it is a terrible disrespect and it is even almost a racist and discriminatory comment, in her position as a client attendant, she has to be respectful of all people and cultures instead as she did following a bad stigma about a country to frame us as bad people.
in Colombia, we are more the good people than the bad ones and drugs are not anymore the main thing in a country full of culture and good people.
On the other hand, she had a bad attitude attending us, with a poor explanation about the process. for example, she charge me $100 but she wasn’t clear for what reason I had to pay that. (I suppose it is a bond that will be returned to my account) because when I did the booking I paid for everything.
(At this time, I don’t know anything about this $100 and I would like to know when will be my money returned? )
It is a shame just an only one person with a very bad attitude destroys the whole experience and good name of a company. Forgetting the bad experience at the counter all was good and the car was great.
That’s why we have a bittersweet taste about the experience renting a car in budget.

The woman who helped us at the counter was extremely helpful and nice. Upon returning, the man who helped me was great. He mentioned he had only been on the job a month, but I couldn’t notice. Car was great for what we needed.

I had an email confirming that the the car was off hired and returned with no new damage on the off hire due day (10 11 22)
The company has tried to charge my card €720.05 yesterday (10 19 22) with no explanation. Fortunately I use a travel debit card with not much credit and so was declined!
I would like an explanation from the hire company please.
The Avis counter staff were WONDERFUL. The car had a dent in it that was unnoticed by their review, so I have to sort that out because they think I didn't (but I didn't), and the vehicle needed replacement of some fluid during the trip that I shouldn't have had to deal with. So I don't think their maintenance/vehicle care team is strong. But they credited me at the counter for the cost of the fluid I had to purchase, so that was good.

I think what’s important is if you are using cars that are slightly older with a bit more wear and tear it’s important to reassure the renter that the previous damages are not there responsibility and that it is understandable that a car of a certain age and kilometre status will have such small marks and damages to show for. I spent the days thinking that people in the office may think we were the ones who damaged the car when clearly all the previous damage was just over time. In their credit they have not questioned any of the previous damage, but I spent a lot of time assessing it and noting it all down which is not time I wish to be losing on a quick break.

Cheap and clean but the car was damaged with one mirror held on by tape. The pickup took ages at the airport and the chosen car was not available. They upgraded us for free but it took ages to check in and get a car to us even though it was only us and one other booking
They charged me more saying that the rates are different from online and argued with me that they can not provide the car to me based on my online booking and they are not responsible for kayak booking. Terrible customer support at the counter.
The car given to us had only done 30000kms on the car. It was still fairly new. Easy online process, was not sure what to expect due to mixed reviews but was pleasantly surprised how easy it was from start to finish.

The car was much bigger and older than the one we booked at the reservtion so we were not able to park properly to the hotel´s parkway. We kindly asked to change the car to the company the next day but the representative refused to give us another car arguing they did not have any. He did not give us a solution. Very bad customer service.

The agency and the information given at the time we made the booking was ok. However, I am going to ask my bank for a full refund of this booking as the car we got was another which made our stay unpleasent.
