Take long time to pickup cars because the service personnel persuade to upgrade and cross sell insurance. The car also have few scratches on bumper and fenders during my pickup.

They didn't have any SUVs in, so had to make do with what they did have (a skoda!). Was offered a number of upgrades for a cost, which I thought awfully kind of them. They seemed genuinely surprised when I suggested that I should be getting a free upgrade given that they didn't have the car I booked available.

Excellent service from Stephan at the check-in desk but he was on his own. There were 3 groups in front of us so the check in took 20-25 mins before we were seen. However, the rest of the experience with Avis was excellent.

Overall experience total disappointment. The worst location of all rental cars at LGW. Unfriendly staff, dishonest, pre-arranged claim of damage to the car. Falsified report. Looks like this false pre-arranged damage claim has been put in practice on regular basis. Unrealistic charge. A car rental company I will never use again and/or would never recommend to anyone.

Long wait to collect the rental car. Make it difficult to get to the counter with infrequent busses and no rebate on the bus fare. Rude staff and extortionate insurance excess forcing us to buy additional coverage at double the initial rental quote.

The counter staff was less that polite, he rushed us and basically kicked us out of the office during the pick up. We were sent to the parking garage to find the car by ourselves and no one to check on the conditions of the car upon pick up.

Arrived to collect the car 16mins late and the car was no longer available. The existing booking was void and the onsite customer service forced me to upgrade in order to hire a car. Dropping the car off out of hours also needs to include an option for when the airport terminal is closed.

Car had damage to front wheel that was noted down, even though quite evident, Luckily got the exit staff to note on my departure, tank was only 7/8 full and dropped to 6/8 just after I left pick up location, took the SD card so no sat nav, comes as standard so should have been included on a K group car

The most terrible company you can ever hire from! Avoid at all cost. They lure you in with their cheap price but then they had you pay! After 2 months from hiring this car they took £1042 from my bank account. When I called they said that it is because I broke the clutch!!! It is worth mentioning that they drove the car after I returned and before the mechanic repaired it for 92 miles! And they wanted me to pay for the broken clutch

The car was good - a Skoda estate. My issue was the £55 they automatically charged for processing (in effect passing on) an erroneous car parking fee. Not happy about this - I guess read the small print; it was I’m sure in there. It’s a bit of trek by shuttle bus to the back of the crown plaza hotel in Crawley- show the driver your booking to waiver the bus charge. They are infrequent- 2 / hour - so check times. Don’t forget you need a *credit* card with your address matching your drivers licence and £1500 to be blocked out, or you will get royally screwed for insurance charges. Good luck!

Surprice is running an insurance scam. They give you a good price initially but then look extremely hard for something to charge you for when you return the car in order to make up for the good initial price. You'll be better off just paying up front with a more reputable company. For us, they kept pointing stuff out until I couldn't provide a photo proving it was there before.

Picking-up a car took almost 2 hours; the car is not really at terminal, they took me about 10 miles away from the airport to the car; dropping off is also terrible - there is no signs on the place, I winded around few times until found them; the car was vandalized, though that was not my fault, and I reported police, they charged me 1500GBP (abt 2000US$) for 4 small scratches! Never rent a car with SurPrice car rentals!!!

The car we were offered was a seven seater but the rear seats were basically children's seats. I had to upgrade to a larger model for an additional £80. The customer service representative didn't give a damn about us just getting the money. POOR AT BEST.

car was dirty and agent claimed in undamaged condition but vehicle had damaged wheels and damage and scratches to bodywork. Vehicle was very dirty outside and windscreen was so dirty on inside I hade to get a cloth and clean it before travelling as vision was impaired. Washer bottle was empty. agents very slow and off handed, long wait.

Green motion car rental in London is a scam. We booked a vehicle but was upsold to another vehicle , with constant pestering of selling insurance. In the end , we took the cheaper insurance option but they claimed that damage was found and force a claimant of another 200-300 pounds for damage. Utter disgrace company and will never go back again.

Terrible service and very long wait for car. They would not accept my Amex card so I needed to make a payment to my Visa card as the deposit they asked for was GBP 1,260 which is ridiculous for a mini car. No Wifi available so I was forced to buy their insurance which was GBP 160 for the few days. I left feeling ripped off and will never use Goldcar again.

You definitely get what you pay for - they are cheap for a reason. After queuing for 90 minutes in the office, every other customer had problems of some kind all to do with inflexible and unrealistic policies. After my 90 minutes in the queue, 25 minutes to process the transaction, I then had to queue for a further 25 minutes while the car was cleaned. All in all, I spent 2.5 hours to collect a car. Never again!

Booked the rental for 8 am pick up only to find the office was still closed. Found telephone number on internet as no telephone number, help or advice to be found at the rental cabin. Called interrent and was told in a very dismissive tone, I would just have to wait until the staff got their. Not a good first impression at all. When staff appeared (8:15) no apology or even acknowledgment that I had been waiting for the 8am collection. Was given an upgrade to a “Mitsubishi” which was actually a MG3. No complaint about the car or the value for money but the service leaves a lot to be desired.
