Car was in very poor condition. Have never had a car with so many scratches and dents. The exterior was absolutely filthy.
The wait time at counter for pick up was painfully long.

Terrible experience. Terrible service at the Counter. Waited for about an hour and a half because wanted to give me a smaller car than what I rented, which then I had to accept because there was nothing else to take. The supervisor was not friendly nor understanding, terrible service form her as well, then she said I was going to get a Toyota Yaris, BUT by then, there was only the Lancia Ypsilon to take. In my opinion should have gotten the upgrade, at least thats what happened to me many times in other Countries when on holidays. Very poor indeed.

The queue at the pick up desk was at least 20 people long when we arrived and was very slow moving. It took around 2 hours to collect the keys. It took longer to collect the car than to fly from London.
During the pick-up it should be more useful of the guy to tell us something about the car and if I need to pay toll somewhere or if the car has some scratches then just try to sell us more insurance.
I booked an A class Benz but at the time of arrival, it was not available.
they offered an equivalent choice or an upgrade for a minimal fee for a B class Benz
I took the B Class Benz which was a good choice.
We were handed the keys with no pre check condition of car and sent off to a huge car park to find it... 2 groups with 4 young children... I managed to picture all of the scratches and dents however my brother in law after 10 mins of looking was so stressed with not being able to find his car in 30+degree heat that he forgot. He was charged on return for small scratches on the car which were on a precheck sheet, he refused to admit to and was told that he needed proof or he would be fined ...I was then shown my precheck sheet which the same man said I had made extra scratches that he had no record of, fortunately I then produced the (unbeknownst to him)photos I took which showed these marks and It was painfully obvious that he was trying to con me.. I had also just witnessed an elderly lady being fined for chips of the paintwork and she had no evidence otherwise. I would have thought a precheck walk around should be standard prior to hiring any vehicle, not an inquisition when returning.. a very disappointing end to a lovely holiday . Please respond to this complaint prior to my posting on trip advisor in 48 hours.
I have waited 45 minutes at the desk to talk with the employee.
I have paid at the desk around 500 euros for all risks insurance (theft not included), which is very expensive.
Insurance should be around 10 or 20% of the rental rate value not more..
I had no options so I paid it but am unhappy and won’t rent there again.

Budget did not know about reservation. Had no normal cars. Insted of mini suv, i recieves fiat qubo....
It seams you do not have normal contact with them... Pick up office had to be near air port, but adress in reservation not valid for a year. Had to go with kids and laguages by public bus to city centre. Drop of a same problem.
Unfortunately waited for almost 2 hours for the car as the lady seemed to be operating all of the car rental desks on her own. Apart from that everything was fine.
We had booked a small van with a standart transmission because there was 4 of us with a lot of big luggage. When we got there, they only had a small van with an automatic transmission and they wanted to charge us $25.00 Euro per day extra. We ended up getting a SUV that barely fit all of our luggage. It was not what we asked for!
Lied about the cost of the insurance 31 euro a day I was expecting the insurance to cost me £217 -
They also said the insurance I had with the original waver was not valid compared to what they offered.

Explain to me how budget in piza Italy can rip people off
Budget wrongly charged me 112 euros for a small scratch on a wing mirror when I returned the car claiming that it was nor present when the rental started. Fortunately I had photographed the whole car at the start which showed that the mark was in fact present when I collected the car. I am currently attempting to persuade Budget to remove the charge but otherwise I will claim the amount from the Easy Rent Cars insurance policy. I was very disappointed with the service I received from Budget and I will not use the company again.
