Absolutely terrible after service care. I was almost charged for damage I did not caused. It took me heaps of effort to prove the damage was there before I rented the car, + get back my deposit after it was confirmed I wasn`t responsible for the damage. No one bothered to apologise. I used Hertz/Firefly before and was happy with the service. After this experience, I am not renting with them again.
The pick up and drop off was efficient and location is so near to the terminal that we arrived and departed from.
However we had issues with the door at the back. Passenger at the right side of the car could not open the door on their own and driver had to assist with opening of the door. Even then, it was not easy to open the door from outside. Upon returning the car, this issue was pointed out to the receiving officer. His first reply was the car is new and it might be tight. We asked him to try from inside and he acknowledged that something was wrong. Yet no compensation was made for us.
First, it is very inconvenient for us as we rented the car for 10 days. Second, it is actually not safe as passenger can get trapped in the car should there be exigencies.
Our flight arrived late at 2am in the morning just as the Hertz counter was closing. We were given our keys and took out top insurance offered by your staff member. After a long walk to the vehicle we realized how damaged the car was but it was too late to go back as the counter was closed. We paid top insurance for car that was likely uninsurable due to its condition, balled tyres, dents and panel damage all over the car- the car was completely unsafe particularly for the weather but also the long road trips we had planned. We phoned to complian an the lady sounded completely uninterested. We were told the manager would phone us to discuss but received no contact. We are completely unhappy with the service and condition of the car and the amount we paid to insure a vehicle that was already in such poor condition.
Hyundai I30 was supplied instead of the expected Corolla. Very impressed with the Hyundai. Perfect for our needs and very fuel efficient. Would happily do it all again.
We upgraded our car for $100 extra and it was perfect. Our car was quite new so had quite a few new modern features which we enjoyed testing as we did a 4 hour road trip. The guy at the counter was super friendly and very helpful.

Long queue at Hertz counter at Sydney airport. There were only two staff. One family held up the line because they didn’t pre book a car. I suggest 3 lines where two would serve customers who have already reserved their cars and just need to pick up.
The car had a dent which the person we picked it up from didn’t tell us about and also offered no form to compete to show the existing damage and said the car was damage freeZ Luckily I took photos as when I returned the car they tried to scam me for the existing damage. classic car rental
I was happy with the pick up process. It was fast and easy. And I have to commend them for availing a car for a last minute decision during the school holidays.
On drop off my daughter realised she had left my glasses in the car so went back to retrieve them and was told she couldn't go back to the vehicle. As we were getting ready to board our flight we left. I've been trying to call to enquire but have been left waiting to have my calls answered. I don't have time to use your online services I'm on the road for long periods and calling is way more convenient.
I would appreciate if customer service would concentrate on doing her job rather than talking to her other colleagues while handling me. Its kinda rude & unprofessional! Wasted a lot of my time!
