Atlas counter staff had me sign the wrong rental agreement for the car I was hiring, this lead to me being overcharged when I picked up the car. I then mentioned it when I dropped the car back off and was told that the difference will be refunded onto the credit card that I paid with. This never happened. I went an saw them in person about a month later and mentioned it again. I gave them my credit card details and the gentleman told me he will refund it ASAP. Once again, this didn't happen. Very unreliable.
Damage to back door lock made the car unsecure for duration of our trip, but staff were willing to exchange cars if we had required.probkem vwith only one branch us that there is no chance for on the road assistance easily available once you leave melbourne.
Upon arrival the bus driver was lovely and personable. When dropped off at the rental office, the lady standing at reception did not greet me, despite me saying hello to her, and she proceeded to ignore me while looking at both her mobile and the computer. After 5 mins another man began to assist me but interrupted this transaction with getting on a handheld radio to demand a third person attend the desk. This was the person who picked me up from the airport. He then completed the paperwork pertaining to my rental while answering the phone, the other staff members having disappeared at this point. In all, i didn't feel a valued customer, and although this is the cheapest car hire, is be reluctant to use them again......customer service is much more important than a few dollars to me. If the woman wasn't working, then she shouldn't be at the front desk. If she was working, she should acknowledge customers as they arrive, even if it is to say "I'll be with you in a minute".
I spent time to search for the shuttle for pickup for 30 mins. I called them few times. After maybe 10th trials, they were able to pick up my call. the shuttle van was white in color without any EZU logo. That made me difficult to trace them during the pick up. Hopefully they can improve their service. The car was in excellent condition but I got different model from what I booked online.
Need to get used to app various functions otherwise default applies.
Europcar confirmed no insurance applied despite me having paid the full insurance cover. As such, Im not sure whether I am covered for the insurance consideration paid.
