I would still recommend renting, but the toll pass is a bit of a scam. However, it's a company policy, so just deal with it. The staff in San Francisco were very nice, but the African American employee at Ontario Airport in Los Angeles was not friendly. I personally felt that White or Hispanic staff were very friendly, while Asian and African American staff were not friendly to us.

Extremely dissatisfied. The store staff had a bad attitude, the reserved car was not available, and I was told to either pay extra or accept a subpar vehicle, specifically a MiniVan. The car looked terrible, with scratches all over the body. The next day, the car broke down, and the engine wouldn’t start. I immediately called for roadside assistance at 2 PM, but the tow truck didn’t arrive until 9:30 PM. During this time, the car rental company and the roadside assistance company delayed and passed the responsibility back and forth, which was extremely frustrating. The breakdown location was only about a 10-minute drive from the rental store, so they could have easily brought a replacement car, but they didn’t intend to do so and instead passed the issue to the roadside assistance company. By the time the roadside assistance company finally got us to the rental store, Budget, it was almost closing time. The staff said they didn’t have a car ready for us, even though the roadside assistance company had told me the store had prepared an SUV. However, the store staff said otherwise. Fortunately, someone returned a Toyota Corolla, which was then given to me. It was already 11 PM by this time. From calling for assistance to getting a new car, it took 9 hours. The entire day’s plans were ruined, and I couldn’t check into my reserved hotel, resulting in a no-show charge. Budget might be struggling, merging with AVIS. Many locations have either dual branding or only AVIS branding. I picked up the car at Union Square in San Francisco, booked via Budget, but the store only had AVIS signage. The breakdown happened in Monterey, and I switched cars at the local airport, which also only had AVIS signage. This might explain the bad service. I advise everyone to avoid Budget if possible.

There was a very long wait at the rental counter. On top of that Thrifty didn't have the mini-van that we RESERVED ahead of time. What's the point of a reservation then?! They gave us a small SUV that didn't even fit our luggage for a family of 6. Very disappointed.

Very good experience, everything went smoothly. The car was spacious and easy to drive. At the rental counter, they just asked if additional insurance was needed, and if not, they were fine with it. There were staff in the parking lot to assist as well. Very worry-free, highly recommended!

1) I waited in line for a long time before meeting counter staff. There were at least 8 people before me, and there was only 1 counter staff serving the customers. 2) the shuttle from car rental terminal to Fox car rental was too small, it can only take few passengers with luggage’s. As a result, half of my family was left behind for the next shuttle. 3) after my car return, I would rather the shuttle drop us off at SFO instead of to the car rental complex (so that we don’t have to wait for the blue line to bring us to SFO.)

The pick-up location is in a combined center with all other rental companies, fox's line is not as crazy as other big names so you are able to save time. The card they provided to us is very good in condition and they don't push hard to sell you insurance, overall recommended!

While the car was in a good condition and the price was reasonable, the service at Fox Rent a Car was pathetic. There were just 2 people manning the counter and both were super slow in dealing with each customer. It took more than 10 min for each customer and they took so much time in non-business related conversation and in selling insurance, leading to longer queue of customers. When we escalated the slow service issue to the manager, she was cold and said they are short staffed and are doing what they can. The male staff member was hostile towards me and another customer for complaining to manager. My car took 45 min to arrive as the cleaning and washing was not completed. Further, Fox shuttle dropped us at a train station from where we had to take a train with our heavy luggage to reach the airport. The shuttle driver acknowledged that the poor service standards were due to Fox's constant cost cutting. I would never like to hire from Fox again and QeeQ should disassociate itself from this terrible service provider.

The service took an extremely long time; it took over 2 hours from when we entered the shop to when we got the car. The rental company is not at San Francisco Airport and requires a shuttle bus to reach.

Efficient, courteous service--the way hiring a car used to be--not just processed at a counter, then left to go find the right car.... YESAWAY office is off-airport (SFO), but an Uber whisked me away quickly (at YESAWAY expense) and upgraded car ready to go when I arrived at their office. Loved the unexpected touches in vehicle -- (multi-phone) charging cord and phone holder, plus an umbrella in the trunk in case of rain. Vehicle return was done in moments and Jade (same agent who served me when picking up vehicle) dropped me off me, right outside the terminal. Easier than messing with the train!! :) Terrific service from start to finish!

WORST rental experience ever. Avoid this company! Not only the long waiting time and failure to keep the car type I booked in advance, but they also charge you for the lost key after I returned the car and the KEY! After I returned the car (and KEY of course), I found out that I left my sunglasses in the car. Went back to the garage and staff told me the car is open so go pick them up yourself (at that time he wasn't even dealing with other customers). I searched inside of car with IPhone flashlight, found my sunglasses immediately and looked around other seats too in case I left anything else in there. Nothing else. 30 minutes later, the staff called me and accused me of stealing key saying he left the key in the car but it's missing since I went there to pick the sunglasses and I am the last person who accessed the car so I am responsible for the lost key. NONSENSE! I did not see the key during the thorough search with the flashlight. And basically anyone could access the car since staffs are busy and NEGLIGENT and cars are wide open. It is HIS RESPONSIBILITY to keep the returned key safe. When the male staff Bershile first called me, he was like "If YOU GUYS don't bring back the key right now, we will charge you $500." Treating me like a thief. I am so INSULTED. After 3 minutes of argument I went to the garage again to find the key myself, he changed his tone saying "I'm not accusing you right now. It's not my decision. Management will decide how much to charge you. Are you sure you didn't take the key by mistake?" Who knows if they are hiding the key to steal money from me? I'm not paying for what I did not and I will fight back against this FALSE ACCUSATION, or SCAM. Avoid this company! I searched his number in Google, then Green Motion Car and Van Rental showed up. Looks like they are famous for SCAM business.

But they still charged me more 2 days with I didn’t drop the car on time. Luckily that i fly to another place on drop off date. So i can show them how can I rent their car on another 2 days.

I booked a Van with 15 passenger and 4 bags so I have enough space but the Van we got did not have space for a single luggage. We had to accommodate. Everything else was good. I would recommend not to book exact van according to the description, always opt for a larger one then you actually need.

I called the car rental company to let them know that I arrived at the airport. So the paperwork as well as the car were ready upon arrival at the facility. It took less than 10 minutes to drive off. It went very smooth too when returning the car. The same lady helped me. She was very nice and helpful. And the offered price was better than other car rental companies.

There was a good range of cars available when I arrived. The bodywork had a couple of small scratches which I had to point out but the staff were happy to log them. The service of this company needs significant improvement. I was dissatisfied with this rental experience. We rented a specified model and paid in full upfront, but upon arrival at the store, we were told that the car was unavailable. They asked if we could accept a downgraded model and they would refund the difference. Isn't that ridiculous? If it wasn't for the specified model, I wouldn't have chosen your company. Ultimately, they had to adjust internally, and as a result, we didn't get the car on the first day. The next day, they delivered the car to our hotel as an apology and upgraded us for free. Just when we were starting to think their service was sincere, someone from the company called after a few days, asking if we could return the car and they would give us the originally rented model. This is too unreliable! How can we return the car while we are on Highway 1? They didn't mention anything about returning the car midway when we got it. After returning home, the refund process was also troublesome. The confirmation for the fee refund for the first day took a long time, and finally, the rental platform had to cover that cost. This is the true experience of our trip. If you are considering this company, think twice. It's a new company with a small scale. Its main advantage is that it's run by Chinese staff so you can communicate in Chinese. However, they have fewer cars, which makes reassignments problematic. This is just my experience for your reference.
