The car was perfect, also pick-up and drop-off. I only got ¨fucked¨ on the easytag, she told me I needed it but at the end only passed one tollport where I could have paid the 1,5 dollar and done. Now I was charged more then 200 dollars, sad.

We waited 1 hour and 15 mins before we even got to the counter. It was an awful experience. The staff at Budget LaGuardia were rude, loud and dismissive. They shouted behind the counter to each other and to customers. The couldn't care less about customer service or satisfaction. I don't understand how they operate on a daily basis.

When we arrived there was some confusion with what we had already paid to what we were quoted and expected to pay on the Qeeq site. I think this could be a lot clearer during the booking process with Qeeq. Another annoyance was the size of the car we picked up. A Kia Soul is no where near the same size and a VW Passat. However when querying this I was told they were in the same car class. This should be a lot clearer during the booking process. If a car is going to be as small as a Kia Soul we needed to know so we could have booked a car to the size we needed. The biggest delay to our journey was that our child seat did not fit the car we were supplied. The Kia Soul has a built in head rest which obstructed the route for the rear anchor point to be connected. We needed to swap out the car so we could safely fit the car seat. Dollar staff were very helpful and swapped our car. However having to que again and explain the situation meant the whole process took over 90 minutes. As you can imagine adding this time onto an already length journey with a young child caused some distress. We feel there should be some safeguard that car seats fit the car supplied. A VW Passat would have accommodated this child car seat.

TWO significant issues: 1) the NY license plate didn't match the one on the receipt! I had to go back in and get that fixed, because I'd brought my own EZ Pass, and didn't know if it would go through with a different plate. 2) the car smelled of SMOKE! I've never smoked myself, so the culprit was not me...and I'd didn't address this issue at pickup because getting 1) fixed took so much time....

I doubt I can call ACE a business because it feels more like a racket. I was forced or deceived to purchase additional insurance coverage, despite the fact that I had already purchased liability insurance from Qeeq. Furthermore, I dropped the vehicle 1 hour after the requested time. I was told that there is 30min I tried to gain sympathy of the staff. They were very adamant and say they have nothing to do against the system and they even add 30 min more to my arrival time because I had to use their toilet before I sign the drop off (the vehicle was already in their possession). They charged me a whole additional day, even with full insurance. I only realized this once I have received the invoice at the airport. I think they waited for me to leave the premises so I would not have the opportunity to complain. Really a bad experience and I felt I was scammed.

I ordered a car from JFK and I had no idea that it's not located at the rental area, instead I had to take a shuttle. Unfortunatily I had no idea that the office is closed at night, it opens only at 8:00 AM, and I arrived there at 7:00 AM, and I needed to wait for an hour, there was also no telephone to talk before the opening hours.

The vehicle exterior was extremely dirty. This made visibility from both the front and rear windscreen more challenging that it should have done. I am 51-years old and have rented vehicles many times in my life but this is the dirtiest car I have ever had (I did not see this when collecting the vehicle as it was dark). The inside was acceptable although the back seat had a few minor stains. The collection process was acceptable but took a little longer than I would have liked. Also, I was not happy that I was not allowed to use a US credit card for guarantee purposes on the basis that we had CDW included in the booking. This meant my UK current account had to receive an actual debit and subsequent recredit at the conclusion of the rental. Lastly, I would have preferred the collection and dropoff point to be in a covered facility than on the roof of the Hertz operation. It was raining hard when we returned the vehicle.

When I arrived on time to pick up my rental, Advantage did not have any cars. Instead I was told that there was a two hour "waiting list" and that they would call me when a car was available. The staff was nice during what I'm sure was a frustrating day for them, but ultimately Advantage failed at the one thing I counted on them to do: give me a car that I had reserved (and prepaid for!).

Like: All staff I interacted with were affable and generous. I felt well informed and well taken care of. What I appreciated was understanding why things were taking so long: the staff focussed on the customer care and went into detail when answering questions and helping customers make the right choices. I was happy with the way that Geneva handled my query; I felt like I was the only customer in the room -- unrushed and highly valued.
Dislike: I had not anticipated close to 1.5 hours from queue to driving off with the car. If I had known this, I would have built this into my schedule and my 7 year old daughter was tired from flying and very fed up. Moreover it had a knock on-effect on my next appointment to collect a key from the air bnb accommodation contact, so I had a lot of apologising to do.
