Overall a great experience - very quick at the desk, no hard sell to upgrade anything, simple return, no issues.
Car was a bit tired (70,000km), but for the price paid I was more than happy.

Be aware of the charges! For this booking they charged me a lot of extras ( including out of hours at 11pm) that costed me more then my rental booking.

5 minute queue which was fine. easy car pick up on first floor. drop off well signed. car inspected and confirmation email no added fees.

Déception totale sur voiture proposée....plus petite que celle réservée....voiture réservée pour 5 personnes et nous donne voiture pour 4 personnes grand max. Obligation d omnium plus chère que la voiture. 'e réserverai plus jamais chez eux
Towards the end, the car indicated an Oil problem which was a bit disconcerting.
Also, There are charges only my contract I don't understand nor were they explained (Premium Location & Smart return). And I don't understand the final amount charged to my card. There is no break up provided.
Horrible experience with counter staff at Lisbon Airport. Unfriendly, lazy, failed to provide information about the drop-off process, tried to manipulate me to buy extra insurance. Extremely unprofessional and would not use them again.
We had a terrible experience at goldcar the lady at the desk was very condescending and not helpful at all after a long period of time about the Amex and insurance she was not helpful in any way. We then needed a moment so we stepped out so me and my wife could converse about the insurance deal that goldcar staff was offering and the lady at goldcar canceled the booking without are consent then she did nothing to help as we had just arrived from Toronto.
So we are very disappointed and for future reference will never use goldcar

I have never received an email receipt from them, even though they promised to send one. They have not refunded the “deposit” and they have charged extra to my credit card. I will now have to fight charges with my credit card. I will not use them (or you) again, I will just go straight to Avis.
Attention, cette compagnie essaie de vous vendre l’assurance en disant que la carte présentée n’est pas une carte de crédit. Étant en possession d’une carte visa premier, avec un plafond largement au dessus de la caution et ayant un solde sur le compte au dessus également, il a fallu que j’insiste pour essayer ma carte (qui bien sûr, a fonctionné) pour ne pas payer une assurance supplémentaire qui m’aurait coûté plus cher que la location. De plus, j’avais réservé pour 9h30 la voiture et à 10h09 lorsque j’ai finis les modalités, la voiture était encore en nettoyage. J’ai attendu 7 minutes de plus et ensuite, j’ai dû vérifié s’il n’y avait pas de rayures, donc 15/17 minutes perdues en plus de celles déjà perdues. C’est dommage.

Rien à dire, tout s’est très bien passé lors de ma réservation.
Goldcar provided excellent customer service. They were very kind during pick up & drop off. The only thing that was on the downside is that they charged €104 for a full tank which is not at all reasonable because when we filled up gas on the car, it was around the range of €50-70max for a full tank & we normally use up all the gas before fueling up. Also I’d like to add that when we got the car, gas was only 75% full. When we mentioned it to the employee he said this car is full tank & that it just doesn’t show full on the metre which is the most bullshit thing I’ve ever heard. Anyway long story short we ended up getting a refund of €25 for the not receiving the car in full tank. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

I was charged 40€ fee for pick-up. The office is open untill 11pm, I was at the desk at 10:55. Turned out I had to move to the external desk already. Walk is ~5m, got there at 11.02pm and printed the "line ticket". Got charged 40€ for being 2minutes late, even though I got to the airport desk on time. Staff was not helpful. Really dissapointed at the counter service. Additional mandatory charge of 3€ per day for a higway toll device - should be included in the car price since mandatory and known from the beginning. Overal, really disappointed.
