Despite their reputation I had no problems renting from Green Motion. I took out separate damage waiver insurance (did find one company who will not insure any Green Motion hire car due to the number of claims they put in). They car that I had been allocated had not been returned so I was up-graded to a larger brand new Kia Ceed - very nice. Staff were polite.

We were running late and needed to contact Green motion. They did not answer their phone or respond to emails. In the end we were able to contact Easyrent cars and both Lisa and Tania were amazing. I suggest you get additional staff to answer the phone to avoid unnecessary anxiety of there are mishaps with collection. When we did arrive, the staff at Greemotion were amazing, and there is no way they could have answered the phone as they were way too busy.

There is a limited daily mileage at the original car so that I need to add much money to change to another car for unlimited mileage as I need to drive to Manchester.
No clear instruction in the airport for the shuttle bus to this Green Motion Pick up which is far away from the hotel.

i went with Greeen Motion because of the cost but would absolutlely never use them again. Although they appear to be cheap there are a lot of hidden costs that should be highlighted. The use of the Hopper Bus to get to the hotel to pick up the green motion car was expensive costing 6 GBP per person. On a return trip for 4 people this adds on a cost of almost 50GBP. On arrival, there was an incredibly long queue. We had to wait over an hour and a half. All the customer service agent could say was that it was lucky we weren't hear last weekend because people waited over three hours. They boasted to being the busiest car rental place in Heathrow but didn't have enough staff on. When I arrived there were 4 members of staff serving and then 2 left as they finished their shift despite the long line out the door. The manager was more focused on "getting some atmosphere in this place" and went off to find some speakers and hook these up to play music instead of helping to serve the queue. There was a lot of repetition in giving information that was already supplied on booking. The process was slow and full of staff trying to sell further insurance and cover packages. Things that are standard at other car rental companies are extras here. Eg. additional driver is 10GBP per day. The standard insurance package is low and the excess was over 1400GBP as opposed to 300 for normal rental companies. The staff were not very professional in their demeanour, chatting and gossiping throughout. They were clearly over worked and fairly fed up with their lot. When I had to take the car back early due to a medical emergency I wanted to contact them directly to talk about extended cover etc and I could never get through to them. I had to resort to driving to Heathrow to discuss options with them. they could not extend me cover to Europe and could not offer me a refund for unused days despite me having proof of a medical emergency.

Green Motion are great and their service has generally been perfectly acceptable and pleasant. They were let down by the poor heathrow hoppa service that they have to rely upon.
Your price on the site does not match the amount you have to pay. About additional payment of insurance, the client finds out only on the pick-up point. All this looks like fraud towards the client .
Booked a Compact | Volvo V40... Received a Citroen C3... Charge me for a part of the damage that was already on the car once picked up (it was a misaligned bumper that clearly was like that because of a small crash the car had on the back and that was on the check in document). If you accept to receive a car with a smaller category than the one that you paid, and have an insurance book with them... Instead, stay away. I booked with them several times but knowing that they were NEVER giving me the right category car.
