BRISBANE CAR RENTAL REVIEWS

This is the first rental that I can not fault!! The pickup was simple ( thanks Kelly ) & I got the car which I ordered, a recent model Mitsubishi ASX which suited our needs travelling Brisbane to Sydney over 18 days. Drop off at Sydney Airport Depot was excellent as Vaughan took no time to sign off & then dropped us off at our hotel in Bondi Junction. The rental was great value for money, thanks Tripz we will use you next year when back in OZ

Ridiculously expensive compared to competitors! Charging a extra fee for a 22yo full license driver that equals to nearly the entire rental amount is insane! Will never book with Europcar again! Save your money and book with the smaller less known companies and you’ll save a fortune

The car was dirty inside( I know that was busy season but I think they can spend 10 mine leaning that and the car a lot of damages around. we reported this when we received it.

It's the worst experience I have when renting a car. I will never rent a car in this company again. I guess when I book a car in a serious company, they will respect all the conditions when I booked it, but this "serious company" charged me extra charges (100 AUD) when I picked up the car simply because I picked up the car at the airport and they gave silly justifications about that. However, how I paid a part of the amount when I booked the car because they did not give me another option, I could not cancel the car because I was going to lose that payment. It is not the first time that I booked a car at the airport and other companies never charged me ghost rates, but unfortunately it was the first time I used Thrifty. I will never use this fucking company again.

Is a good app and easy going.

Collection is not “a few minutes” from the terminal more like 20-30mins. Booked to return at 12noon, not possible had to be there at 9am if we wanted a lift to the airport. Car was old over 212,000km with a tired interior. Just about made it as a cheap run around but wouldn’t use again. Counter staff couldn’t care less, ended up having to get an Uber to the airport. Oh and all this having taken a $4k deposit.

be aware that they don't provide you the car you ordered, when I was there to pick up the car, I realize that they only have the cheapest car of each category. I ordered Suzuki swift, they didn't email me before hand or tell me when Im arrive at the front desk but give you a paper to collect it straight away at the garage. when you ask them why it is not the car you picked, they didn't even bother to apologize but just tell you one word "similar".

Dirty old car in bad driving condition @ $230.00/day. Very unfriendly staff at drop off.

The car exceeded my expectations because I received a quite new car. The counter staff was also friendly and helpful.

This is very easy platform to book and cancel booking without any charge.

Car wasn't very clean internally... could have done with being vacuumed out

Car was large medium SUV, roomy, drove well. But there was no fuel in the car on pick up. And I won't rent with Ace again in Brisbane because unlike other companies, they don't provide e-tag or simple means to pay for road tolls. You have the choice of paying an exorbitant fee of $38 + toll for every occurrence, or going on very round about and complex routes to avoid tolls. Very inconvenient.

The car was not as large as expected. It was a Hyundai Kona which is smaller than a medium SUV.

Condition of the car was satisfactory. Service was good and responsive.

I bought the full protection but Ace advised it did not apply to them. In the event of accident I would still pay the excess and claim from Easyrentcars. Too cumbersome !

Was a good rental. Little hard to find the pickup point to be taken to yard. Yard a bit of a drive but we were in no hurry so no problem for us Staff very helpful and polite.

Booking was easy

I was not given the car I booked.... I was given a CCAR instead of a JCAR and it broke down on the 2nd day leaving me stranded on my holiday. No one from your company has responsed to my concerns. I

Horrible experience with very late pick up from Brisbane airport was a reason me late to business meeting and loosing $200. Also they charged my bank card for $82 additional yesterday without any notice and signing paper from dropping off desk. I might now only guess it was for bringing car for 1h later?

Very helpful and nice staff - great car and value for money. The only Downside is the location - it is quite a distance (15-20 mins drive) from the airport and although there is a shuttle, pickup took about 45 minutes from Brisbane domestic airport. If you don’t mind that wait then definitely worth the saving.
