When the line is out the door and all other counters are empty, you need to forgo the time consuming up-sell and just get people into their cars. Waiting over an hour left me going to Dollar when I needed another car just because I did not want to wait, although you were less expensive.
The car booked not available up grade to larger vehicle ,there was a problem with that vehicle so offered further upgrade to a superb SUV which turned out to be great for my trip this vehicle had just been returned looked ok to me but asked to wait a while so the agent could wash and valet this accounts for pi k up delay very impressed by service from Rebecca as very busy site a great customer champion for hertz

Booking platform easy to navigate and simple to understand ,l like being able to see total cost and being able to pay in sterling upfront a boon ,well done will certainly use again and have recommended to my brother to use on his trip to UK from America,

the girl at the counter couldn't have been less helpful... she said they didn't have any ford explorers even though i specifically said that is what i wanted when i rented it online... i told her since i was very tall that that one had the most room and since we were going to be driving 2000 miles i wanted to be comfortable... she made no attempt to locate one for us and told us we had to upgrade if we wanted something comparable in the leg room...we ended up spending way more than we had budgeted for another vehicle and when we were walking to get our truck we walked passed 8 yes 8 ford explorers!!!!!!!!
if they don't have them how are they sitting there with the keys in them to be rented out?
she was lazy and didn't want to look for us... not a good time... out a lot more money and didn't get close the vehicle that we wanted...
I reserved this car months in advance. When I picked it up the car was not available. I had a family of 6 with luggage and all that was available was a 5 passenger car. I will not use Europcar again. I need to depend on the reservation that is made. You could have notified me ahead of time as well.
I had a bad experience. The end price was much higher than what was shown on easyrentcars.com. They had a lot of additional add-ons that I was forced to pay so the end price ridiculous. Wouldn’t use Thrifty again.
The line at the counter was long and there was lots of pressure to add various items onto my reservation. When I went to pick up the actual car, the employee kept telling me they were bringing mine out, but then helped everyone in line before me. After waiting about 40 minutes for them to bring the car out, the man had lost my receipt (he took it with him to pull the car). He told me the employee at the gate could print a new one. Got to the front of the gate. Employee had no idea how to do this. Had to wait at the front of the line and hold everyone else up behind me for about 20 minutes until they printed a new receipt. Pick up was a VERY slow process.

yeasy and fast to rent a car, could not charge the reservation
Took over an hour in line at SeaTac airport to get car. When I got to car, no keys. Had to wait until they determined they could not find the keys, and then they delivered another vehicle to replace the one I had orginally rented.
When we arrived there was a long line of customers with reservations and they had NO CARS! We waited in line because they were saying they would price match to another company, but when we finally got to the agent she said they wouldn't price match for us because ours was a one way rental. We had to take an uber to a hotel at 2:30 am and come back in an uber at 8 am, which made a bad start to our vacation. The next morning they did at least upgrade our car.

Not enough staff in Seattle office so had a long wait. We dropped car off early in San Francisco due to parking difficulties. We had been advised on the phone that we would get a refund for unused days but this did not happen. In addition we have received an invoice for a surcharge since we got home -for what? Very disappointing.
