We made a serious complaint with the Manager of Hertz Rental cars which run the agency at Dunedin airport for ACE Rental cars as the staff member on the desk who served us was offensive and rude!
When I reserved a rental car, I also signed up for full coverage insurance. However, I did not understand when I was told that if there was an accident and damage, I would have to pay 5900 NZD first and claim the damage amount separately from the insurance company. If you signed up for insurance at the same time as reserving a rental car on the reservation site, it would be normal for the rental car company and the insurance company to handle each other's insurance processing so that there is no cost to the customer. Also, I was told that if I signed up for insurance directly with ACE Rental Cars at the pick-up counter, I would not have to pay any costs even if an accident occurs, but I ended up signing up for double insurance.
