We did wait a long time to get a vehicle as the customer ahead did not have the correct booking information to hand and held up proceedings, and there was only one customer service rep serving at the time. The car had not been cleaned since the last rental, but the car performed as expected.
Front desk Coustmer service person was very rude to us the way she talk on our arrival on 13/09.
When we drop off the car same person was there, very poor attitude and been rude to us, she didnt check car properly, and told us that they have to take bond to repair windscreen, where there was no chip on glass it was only small glue tag.
The car exceeded expectations. I had a late flight arrival so I was able to organize with a worker to have the keys left with the Hertz rental station and this worked out perfectly.

Booking platform seemed good. I got a good rate when I booked and nothing better came up which was fine.
Charged us for vehicle damage (for a chip under the windscreen wiper) that we don't believe we caused. Couldn't inspect the vehicle on the start of our trip as the pickup location has no external light and we picked it up at night
I was a little concerned as I hadn’t heard of Ace before and I saw some negative reviews but I was very pleasant surprised. The car was great and clean. The pick up/drop off process was easy and without issue. Amazing value for money. I would use Ace again.

I booked a Mitsubishi ASX, but was given a Mitsubishi Outlander, it was a little bigger but comfortable the same. Pick up instructions was to call up for a free transfer to Ace Rentals about 1-2 km away from Queenstown airport terminal, the transfer was smooth. At pickup, the guy was clear to explain and checked all documents, but cautioned me about my liability excess is $5500, that got me worried even I bought AXA coverage through QEEQ. At returning the car, the lady was not helpful, I had a dent on the vehicle front passenger bumper cause by a big landscaping rock while reversing for parking, she seemed panicky and quickly made a report for me and charged me excess of $5755.08 on my card. She was not helpful to explain how is the process, more worried about the next customer picking up vehicle, when I ask for credit card slip, she said she do not have one for me, luckily I took a photo of Ace Rentals copy which I signed. Later then I realised on the accident report it said they charge me excess $4783, but then I paid on credit card $5575.08, still not sure why, hopefully could be resolved later when they obtain an assessment of cost of repair to bumper, after Christmas they say. When I ask for if they have a telephone contact which I could call from Singapore, she said another guy will call me. I kept calm , since I had to catch a flight, and trust QEEQ and AXA insurance would help clear things up.

Excellent platform, have been using this for all my overseas car bookings.
They didn’t accept international driving license without translation while in other rentals accepted. So, I have to pay more for the translation. And the car isn’t new enough to use apple car.
Amazing location. Best at airport as you literally walk out of door and pick up car. Super easy for drop off too. Done in seconds. Always rent from here. Car this time was rather scratched up, staff wasted time taking details they should have already had and the car was rather outdated with no AUX or even ability to get local radio stations.
The car was incompatible with USB/charging of IPhone. This was unacceptable as roads in NZ are long, unpopulated with few services and as I was a lone female traveller the thought of being stranded with no phone battery made me feel very unsafe.
Also I was not provided with the central locking key. This was inconvenient, having to first manually unlock the drivers door before I could load/unload stuff into the boot.
We had a wonderful experience with ACE Rentals. Quick and straightforward process, vehicle in excellent condition and the staff super friendly and helpful.

Super grateful we got an awesome deal over Christmas despite booking quite late.
Waited 30mins for pick up and it was a raining day, the staff was not friendly enough to let us load the luggages under the shelter and rushed us out to the rain. Car should be under serviced for about 2000km more but rented for us for 13days. The mileage was over when we returned the car.
