      When I was at the counter they suggest me an upgrade and i accepted. When I took the car, Toyota Kluger. I asket to the people in charge that the GPS was not working. They said to me to go out because insede the parking it was not working. I went outside and be onthe road but it did not work and I had some trouble to find the way to get home. Police stop me and ask me to go back to airport because I did not know where I was going. I went back to airport and AVIS people find out that the car was without GPS card and that's why it did not work. So that I had to wait for another car coming in 15 minutes. In total I have lost one and half hour before I could be ready to leave the airport with a working car .

      It was a Saturday morning so the office was very busy plus there was a problem with one customer’s booking what blocked one of the team member. Our lady at the counter was a new staff there so that’s why it took a bit longer but overall no complaints. Suggestion: get a better booking software. The one used there is some kind of a MS DOS based one from 90’s which is heavily user unfriendly.

      Lack of communication during pick up. The wait was long and we were not given details of the driver or pickup vehicle. The driver wasn’t informed of who he is picking up as well. There was so much confusion as we kept wondering if we’re boarding the right vehicle. Car was not clean as well, could have been better with a quick wipe down.

      The car damage policy is a ripped off. The counter staff told me any damage larger than a 50cents coin regardless of fault, I have to pay A$4400. This is utterly unfair and the costs of repair may be much less than that but still I have to pay that amount. The staff told me this is how it is. I had no choice by to buy the comprehensive insurance which is almost equivalent to my car rental price. The counter staff directed me to pick up the car at the parking lot to meet the person checking the car. She didn't call and end up no one is at the parking lot and we have waited 15 minutes and walk all the way back to the counter and she did checking herself finally.

      When I started looking on skyscanner, the deal was showing unlimited kms, when I went to carhood, they would not allow me even 20 more kms and they said they will not cancel the booking either and I will be losing my money. I was told pick up would be at 9, they came to pick up at 9:50. For almost an hour I was waiting out in cold for them to pick me up. I was going to take the car to Canberra for a meeting and hoping to leave at 9 in the morning, I eventually left at 11 because of everything with the booking and the rude behaviour of their staff. NEVER EVER booking through them again.

      Like: The cars were perfect and immaculate.
      Dislike: That there were hidden costs. We rented 2 cars and on the site stated no other costs. Upon pickup we had to pay bonds of $200 each plus insurance which costs over $500NZD. They don't take cash either. Wish we knew prior so we could leave cash in accounts rather than having cashed out all our spending then having to call home to transfer etc... delayed process and not good start to trip. ALL costs including bond etc.. should be mentioned.
