We had to pay to upgrade as the original car was too small. The car was expensive but proved ideal for our needs. Why did Thrifty acquire a car with cream leather. It has dirty marks on it that wouldn’t have shown so much on BBC a car with a dark leather interior. Otherwise it was a nice car.
Behaviour of the Staff at customer service is good until you refuse to buy their offered trip protection insurance, once you refuse it their behaviour changes to being very rude. My customer service advisor literally threw the booking papers at me and told me to go downstairs to find your vehicle. That was shocking.
The woman at the counter was the most high pressure sales (additional insurance coverage) person that i have encountered in years.. she was nice enough but over the top on extra coverage and kept on about it- “lots of construction in Seattle so if you don’t get this and have a flat tire- it will cost you at least $350”
Overall good, but the car didn't have a full tank when we picked it up. The staff was efficient and friendly, and the car was in good condition. Affordable.
This time Triffty pushed for insurance again. It was late, and I didn't notice, so I ended up buying road service. Later, I realized that Zuzuche includes it.
The attitude was okay, but they pushed insurance sales and an extra $100 was charged. They said it was for emergency assistance in case of an accident, but we declined and still got charged.
I got into Seattle over an hour late. When I got to Thrifty there was no one in the terminal office I had to go to the garage. I was told there were no cars and I would have to wait 30-45 minutes for a car to be cleaned. It was about 35-40 degrees out and we had to wait in the cold. I paid a little more for a small SUV but, got a standard car. We were assigned the car that came out whatever it was. Take it or go. I was not happy with the car and asked them to give it to someone else but, they didn’t want to listen. I took the car due to the late hour and not wanting to try another agency
The lady at the counter was high pressure in selling me extra insurance and also prepay a tank of gasoline. Didn’t want either and she almost insisted I get it. Other than that she was efficient.
