Like: I rented a Nissan Rogue, but ended up with a Jeep Wrangler with navigation. Our flight was delayed and the airport was a MESS. By the time we made it to the rental place, it was 4 to 5 hours after my expected pickup. They didn't have any Rogue's left but they gave me the Jeep for the same price. It was a nice unexpected surprise after all the other travel issues. It was clean, new and Awesome! Thank you for a sweet week! Car got lots of attention and compliments

Jeep was full of Sand and seats had what looked like ice cream spilled on them. Jeep was not washed. Looked like it had not been serviced since it was dropped off by the person before us. I have never had such an experience with a rental. Waited at MCO for 45 minutes because we were watching for an EastyRentcars shuttle. After 3 calls, find out it says Routes on it. Then driver never said a word whole way back like he was ticked off?? Girl at counter said the place hired a third party online. Their name is Routes? The service was terrible. Agent made it extremely difficult for me even though I had rented with them previously. The paperwork provided stated I received a full tank of gas when in reality it was it was nearly empty when I received it. There was damage on the vehicle that the agent glossed over and attempted to not list. I was required to call my insurance company directly even though I was able to provide proof of full coverage that was required. I felt as if I was discriminated against and felt like they did everything within their power to up charge me or get me to cancel. For the second time I was informed the vehicle I reserved was not available and literally gave me the exact same story the previous rep told me as if it was scripted. I will be sure to let everyone know of my experience.

I would not recommend using them. The location was initially unable to provide me with the car I requested (economy car) and instead gave me a jeep wrangler. The vehicle was unsafe to drive and could have resulted in a serious accident as a bolt for the rear control arm/axel was missing and I was informed of this by a stranger since I do not know much about the jeep. Routes did provide me with an alternative vehicle that also seemed to have weird sounds when driving. Additionally, the rate for prepaid tolls does not match the description on their policies (4.99/day + usage) and is significantly higher (11.99/day), resulting in a much higher cost than anticipated. Overall, the staff was nice but vehicles are either worn out or unsafe and the false rate advertised on their website felt like a bait and switch strategy.

I had prepaid for a "Toyota Corolla or similar" vehicle at MCO for January 30, 2019. When I arrived at EasyRentCars MCO which had a large "Routes" sign outside, I was told that the only vehicle they had was a Jeep Rubicon. I asked if there was any alternative. The young woman staff member said "Yes, you have an alternative. You can leave and go back to the airport."
Therefore I accepted the Jeep. On leaving the parking lot the vehicle made a terrible rumbling sound and the steering wheel shook. I returned and reported this to the same staff member. She said that this was due to the tires that were installed on this type of Jeep, and it was normal. When I reached my destination after 2.5 hours of freeway driving I saw that the front tires were almost bald. I therefore did not drive the car further. I called EasyRentCars at MCO and when I explained the situation they put me on hold and immediately hung up on me. When I called again I was put on hold for 15 minutes until I eventually hung up. I called the Customer Service number for Routes that I found though Google.
"Kimmy" at Routes Ontario Customer Service was helpful and connected me to the manager "Kevin" (who I have previously been told was not in the office). He asked me to send photographs of the tires to him along with my phone number so he could contact me with a solution. Kevin did not call me. When I called again I was told that Kevin had left for the day. I was told that a replacement vehicle would be driven to my location in Jacksonville the next day. In the afternoon of the next day EasyRentCars delivered a new car to me.

Overall good experience, the hour wait for the shuttle from airport to location was excessive. Also did not know I needed proof of my personal insurance in addition to the credit card auto insurance coverage I was using.
Overall a good experience.
I did witness the agent refusing people their rental because their arrival was supposed to be at 10am, they were delayed due to flights and they would not rent to them at 1500h. They actually took them back to the airport and refused to budge saying their rental contract had been closed!
Fortunately, I was 30 minutes early, but that was also noted that I was early!

The Kia rental didn't have spare tire. The tire blew while driving on 95 North in Florida with no low air pressure warning. We had to get tow truck to tow to tire shop to replace tire. We missed flight by 5 minutes and it cost us $500 dollars since Routes didn't provide shuttle as promised to us in timely manner and shouldn't have trusted Routes personal. My only complaint is that we had an early flight. The location was supposed to open at 6:00 am and the shuttle to the airport was supposed to leave at 6:05. They did not even open their gate/door until 6:10. It may not seem like a lot of time, but when you are trying to make a flight, it could potentially make you miss your flight.

We called and went immediately to the exact pickup stop and sat within 10 feet of the sign for pickup. The pickup van never came. I called and they said that the van had broken down and then another van would be there in 10 minutes. No van appeared. I called again after 20 minutes and they said a van would be there within 10 minutes. No van appeared after 20 minutes. I called again and rechecked that we are at the correct place and they said a van would be there in 10 minutes. No van appeared and within 20 minutes I called again but they only had an answering machine. I continue to call until midnight and we finally left and got a car with no problem from thrifty Rent-A-Car right inside the airport.

We waited for over an hour to be picked up at the airport. I called several times, but the call wasn't answered each time. As you can imagine, this was a bit distressing on arriving in a foreign country.
The car itself was fine, apart from one of the tires was inflated to only 21psi, the others were 46psi. I didn't notice this until we started driving so I had to inflate this twice during the car hire.
The brakes on the car were quite poor as well.
Routes attempted to sell us a car toll sticker for $12 a day, saying that there were many toll roads in Orlando. We didn't have to pay a single toll, despite driving every day of our holidays.

the car was dirty, smelly from cigarettes, and the fuel wasn't on full (half way to the other bar),
When i returned the car, the young guy that was checking me out was rude ( I think his name is Edward- not sure).
.I'm renting cars for years, all over the world, and never had this experience.
I wrote them an email about it (1st time I ever send an email about this kind of situation).

First of all, I got had to wait over 1h to get the shuttle bus from the airport and I had to call three times to finnaly get picked up and once I got to the pickup location the young kid in the counter was so roud very and kep saying I have nothing else to do and that's all we have! So I booked a small sedan car but instead he gives me a pickup truck that use a lot of gaz I use to put 40$ a day just gaz and get over charged for the insurance.

There are 3 Easy, Easi, EZ car rental shuttles at Orlando. Took 1 of those, wrong location, shuttle back to airport, shuttle to Routes. Very confusing. At night and alone. Not sure I would rent off site again. They also insisted on a binder from my auto insurance company. In MA that is only for property. Declaration page (which I had) is for auto. Finally took care of over the phone. Then the SUV I reserved wasn't available. They tried to upgrade me to a BLACK (in FL heat - no way) oversized Jeep that looked more like a hummer. I am 59 and disabled. I would have needed a step to get in. My friend I was visiting could not possibly have gotten in. Miraculously, the Rogue was available after all. In the end, the vehicle was great and return a breeze. Oh, I was overcharged about $12 from what I authorized over the phone. I haven't called about that yet. Not cool.

Many customers were complaining about waiting over an hour for car and even for the shuttle. It was not opened at 6 am when customers arrived when it was supposed to be 24 hour service. Restroom (women's) was filthy and toilet a mess and I would not sit on it. The car lot itself was very disturbing and crowded and made me feel uneasy about my choice (first time). Cars crammed in everywhere on the grass and looked unprofessional.

I have mixed feelings about my experience renting a car through the website and location. Online it was not clear that the pick up location is offsite away from the airport. We took a shuttle to the pick up spot and there we experienced the worst pick up process ever. Even though the staff were courteous it was clear they were really understaffed and the process was very inefficient. We spent over two hours waiting to receive our car. However once we did receive our car we were very happy with the vehicle we received and we did not have any problems with it during our trip. Because of our long wait during the pick up, when we dropped the car off we didn’t even wait for the shuttle but chose to take an Uber back to the airport.

Car was great! Excellent condition. The only problem is I had a flight to catch at 6:45 and Routes did not open until 6am which I was not aware of. I assumed there would be a drop box and or instructions on what to do if you have an early flight. There was no drop box to leave the key and car. If this were available I would strongly recommend routes, otherwise if you have an early flight to catch you might want to look elsewhere. It was a great experience minus the drop off mishap.

I won't mention how long it will take to get your car. However, it took me over AN HOUR to get back to the airport on my return!!! even when I begged them multiple times that we would be late for our flight! The staff there were so rude and didn't care about the customers at all. When we arrived to Routes to return the car, the shuttle was just about to leave. My daughter rushed to the driver and asked him to give us two minutes to load the stuff so we could catch the shuttle. The shuttle driver was rude and didn't want to wait for two minutes - he said there would be another shuttle in 10 minutes. We waited and waited, no shuttle showed up. I talked to the front desk staff, the guy I talked to just smiled and said, "Well, I'm not gonna get into this...I'm not the shuttle driver, If you don't want to be late, you should have left enough time. driver, so there was not another shuttle at all. We rushed to put our luggage into the shuttle. But the shuttle driver said:"No I'm not going back to the airport! I'm off work, I'm going home!! There should be another shuttle in 10 minutes" We were shocked and had to return to the front desk staff. He said:"There is nothing I can do for you, just wait for 10 minutes for the other shuttle." I almost cried and said, there is no another shuttle:"We have waited for 45 minutes!" By the time there was less than an hour from our flight departure, there was still no shuttle. I was trying to get an Uber but that would be time for the Uber driver to locate us. Both of my girls cried and we were so desperate. The staff there looked at us like this was a joke. Finally shuttle came, when I got back to the airport, there was less than 45 minutes left from the departure! I just couldn't believe this happened at a car rental company. They have no professional ethics! It was both humiliating and outrageous!!

No one answered the phone when we called to be picked up from the airport and had to wait an hour, while everyone else got picked up from their shuttle right away. However, the car was better than expected. New 2019 Kia Forte, very nice car. The lady that helped us check in seemed a bit disengaged and uninterested in helping us, but the guy that helped us check out was awesome and fast. Overall, the whole process went fine and price was great, so I would probably rent from here again.

REAL EXPERIENCE!!
AIRPORT AND SHUTTLE:
I arrived at Orlando Airport and walked about 10 minutes to the shuttle stop. I waited at the shuttle stop for around 15 minutes, the shuttle arrived. The ride was around 20-25 minutes as the shuttle visited both terminals on the way to the place.
ROUTES OFFICE:
When arrived at Routes, there were around 15 people in the room. I signed a waiting list so I was now in queue to collect my pre-booked car. They had Netflix on a TV (but the screen was frozen) and a few chairs, but they were all occupied. They had a water cooler but it was empty, so I stood by the door. After around 30 minutes, somebody called my name and I went to the counter.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:
Nobody was wearing name tags, but a lady helped me and the first thing she said was: "Which insurance would you like to buy?"... Option 1. 21.95 per day or Option 2: 24.95 a day. The difference was the deductible. I told them I don't want to purchase insurance, I had my own. So they asked me for insurance proof, however, my insurance ID card was not enough. They wanted the full form which listed all the figures and totals lol. After calling my company 3 times and spending around 40 mintues on the phone, I finally got the paperwork emailed over. I saw many people giving up and paying them $21.95 per day, I suppose this is how they get their money!
CHARGES:
Deposit they charged to my card was $350 based on a $50 rental.
They charge 11.95 per day for SunPass. If you run a cashless toll without it, their admin fee is $100 per toll.
They do not rent to young drivers under any circumstances.
Insurance Option 1. 21.95 per day or Option 2: 24.95 a day

When we arrived at counter to pick up car, all the staff disappeared into back office. After about 20 minutes standing around waiting I decided to knock on office door to find an employee. About 10 minutes later a staff member emerged from the back and rudely stated to me "I was using the bathroom, is that ok?" By this time, we had been travelling with small children all day and the last thing we needed was a bunch of attitude. Finally got the car after about an hour (they said they had to clean the car before we took it, which we said we didn't need). Upon returning the car, we were told we'd be charged $250 for clean the little bit of sand on the rugs. I sat in the parking lot shaking the floor mats out. Even the shuttle driver said he'd never heard of such a thing and would tell the manager. Very unprofessional. Very rude. Apathetic employees. Takes way too long.

Routes is not ready to rent cars to travelers through your website! Counter agent is more a sales person than a customer service agent; their focus is to force the up-sell of peripheral services for the vehicle (insurances, etc.) Routes operates a non-transparent pedatory process. The renter is stuck at their remote location with little or no choice but to buy the additonal coverages and services because renter is stuck and/or eager to leave the situation because the rental process is stretching well beyond 45 minutes. I have rented 100s of vehicles even using EasyRents many times. Routes is the worst that I have experienced around the world and will never select them in an offer by EasyRents again. I suggest that you drop thme from your vendor list for your US domestic travelers but especially your international travelers!

I will be writing a formal complaint to you with regards to the customer desk of routes service in Orlando.However,
after a long flight from the UK we were transferred to the routes centre by a shuttle. No problem, great service nice driver.
After waiting for 30 minutes we were served by the most rude obnoxious man I have ever met. Tried to force sell us additions such as break down cover, toll passes and additional insurance.
We refused all even though he had pre printed all in the form for us ready to sign!
We explained in detail that we had already taken out additional insurance cover in the uk prior to our rental to cover the shortfall in basic cover provided. The man asked to see this certificate and even had the gall to continually say to us we must cancel it and take out the cover he could offer.
Disgusting behaviour which left myself and my wife feel quite threatened. After reprinting the form not to include the items stated he proceeded to take us to the car.
No explanation of features functions or refuelling procedure. A Brief walk around the car (in the dark) where I had to point out a scratch on the door and that was it!!
He Didn’t even notify me of mileage or discuss existing level of fuel left in the tank to start with. The form I took away stated full even though it was only under a quarter of a tank full....
Another item to note,
They also wanted full payment from us again even though we had already paid upfront all costs in January?
we had to show evidence of this, (luckily we had bought the receipt you issued To us on purchase prepaid in the uk.
Not a good start to our holiday which left us quite angry and distressed for a few days. We just had the nagging feeling we were being scammed by the man and we’re going to be hit with additional charges.
This was added to after he blatantly watched me enter my credit card pin into the machine to pay the pending deposit. Disgusting.

I didn't get the Nissan Rogue as booked but a jeep which is technically an upgrade but inconvenient. The tank was half full which was always a problem for me as I didn't know how much to fill. They made us wait for 30 minutes outside the airport in 90 degrees before they sent someone to pick us up. Then they asked to show insurance declaration page otherwise they wont rent me the car. I showed them my insurance proof plus coverage etc but they were not convinced and forced me to buy insurance from them which cost me $170 extra and the total cost to rent the car reached $240 for 4 days which is totally ridiculous. They showed me its part of the agreement that is hidden somewhere down the 3 different pages and in the middle of a huge document. There is no way people are going through every page and line when they rent something on any website. If you have some exception, you must show it in the very front page in bold so people notice it but instead you do it intentionally so as to get money from your customers. Additionally, the girl was also pursuing hard to rent me sun pass while I already had my own ezpass with me. She told me ezpass is accepted only at few places and not everywhere which is a total lie. In fact, there is only florida turnpike which does not accept ezpass otherwise anywhere else you go it is accepted. All this things made my experience very bad and rest assured I am not going to rent from them again in the future. They are a thief.
