Service du personnel ne nous a pas prévenus de dommages sur la voiture. il ne nous a pas expliqué comment conduire la voiture (c'était une voiture hybride). La voiture n'était pas au bon endroit qu'on nous avait dit et il n'y avait personne à qui demander. Nous avons perdu trop de temps et nous avons été stressés. Je pense que quelqu'un aurait dû nous accompagner pour voir si tout allait bien pour la voiture.

Europcar option came out cheapest for renting Alfa Romeo Giulietta “or similar”. However
1. When went to pick the car our chosen car was not provided and was referred to the clause on advert which says "or similar". However the car provided (cannot remember its name but some sort of Opel) was/and is in no way similar to Alfa Romeo. Looked around at Europcar car park both when picking the car and when dropping it but could not see Alfa Romeo at all so I am sure they lied on advert about having Alfa Romeo in stock at all and were always going to rely on clause "or similar". Extremely dishonest
2. When I arrived at counter with my booking Europcar guy tried very hard to rent me an expensive luxury car instead. The price quoted was 8 times of what I had booked for. (Common sense that I would have booked an expensive car in the first place if I wanted). Pressure tactics like this are very stressful when you have come off a long flight with children early in the early morning.
3. When Europcar were unable to convince me with renting their expensive car, an expensive additional fully comprehensive insurance of nearly double that of the price of rent was charged). I had no option but to accept as excess premium was £1500 without this additional insurance. I had similar experience in the past when you pick the car they find faults with your online comprehensive insurance so I never get a fully comp insurance online and rely on buying it on the day. However the price charged by Europcar was 3 times of what was quoted in the online offer.
4. The car provided consumed much more fuel than a normal compact car and certainly more than Alfa Romeo. Although I had told Europcar beforehand that I will be going lots of miles.
5. As per the contract I was forced to use Fuel type E5 which is more expensive that Fuel type E10. Later on I found out that manufacturer recommends any of E5 or E10 fuels for that car. Again this was dishonest.

booking a car was quick and easy on the site. Also, the offer was the cheapest of all provided on the Internet.
Pick-up and drop-off were fast and car was new. What we didn't like was that Goldcar charged our card 30 EUR after the rental and never told us why exactly (no email, no receipt, nothing at all). Very unclear and kinda dodgy practice.

Había alquilado un coche por unos 60€ por un día y cuando llegué a la oficina me hicieron pagar otros 61€ porque decían que mi tarjeta no funcionaba para el depósito del coche (que eran como 1500€) cuando sí que funcionaba, cosa que comprobé en el banco y SI que funcionaba aunque el personal de la oficina de Goldcar me dijo que no por lo que tuve que pagar por el seguro a todo riesgo cuando yo no quería ese seguro. Me gustaría además saber donde puedo presentar una queja por ello.
I would never hire a car from Budget cars at Nice Airport ever again it took them nearly 3 hours to process 8 customers they had 5 staff on then 2 left at that point there was 20 customers in the queue. When we final got and found the car. The car park exit ticket would not lets us out of the car park & we had to go back to the rental desk for another ticket. The 2nd car park exit ticket didn't work so a security guard let us out. We got half way to Mougins and the fuel light came on we just manged to get there. The car was to come with a full tank. we returned with half a tank. Just to finish the Lady who serviced us was not pleasant and could do some customer training

Try to give me a smaller car than I booked and were only interested in selling me an upgrade. Took nearly an hour of arguing to get a car big enough. Terrible customer service
Personne a l'accueil, très peu aimable, nous a donné une Ford focus mais arrivé à la voiture elle était déjà louée à quelqu'un d'autre, ne nous a pas dit que si nous mettions des permis supplémentaires, il y avait un supplément à payer

After waiting in a queue for two hours, I got to the front of the queue and the Goldcar employee tried to sell me further insurance. After she had explained it three times, I said I wasn’t interested to which she said that I wasn’t listening to her and she therefore ‘wouldn’t talk to me’. Then bumped up deposit so it exceeded limit on my card and then asked me to join the end of the queue to think about whether I would pay for the insurance or not. Needless to say I refused to go to the back of the queue and was left with no choice but to pay the insurance so myself, husband and two young children weren’t stranded without a car. Will avoid Goldcar at all costs in future. Rude and aggressive employee runtimes whole experience.

Goldcar sont des arnaqueurs, ils ne m'ont pas donne la voiture que j'avais reserve Citroen C4 Cactus, ils voulaient me donner une Citroen C1 !!! et apres avoir gueule j'ai eu une Seat et ils m'ont fait payer une assurance suplementaire de 229.95 Euro pourtant j'avais pris lors de ma reservation une assurance suplementaire quils n'ont pas voulu admettre.
