Fox pushed to up sell when processing us through by having the agent say we needed to purchase $12.99 per day for the electronic highway toll pass while driving in Florida. The agent said there were no longer any cash toll booths on any toll highway. This was not true… We declined and we’re nervous about the tolls, after researching the issue and using cash toll booths we felt a lot better about it.

No price drop for Fox

Nobody deserve more than one hour waiting time to do the pick-up after 16 hours travel time. Just not good enough........

Nice, fairly new car. I would haver preferred to have advance checkin instead of having to wait in line at the Alamo desk to get our car.

There was sweet wrappers in the car and it did not appear to have been cleaned, I had antibacterial wipes so gave it a quick clean inside and got rid of the rubbish , at the desk the assistant tried to upsell the car and it took me a few no thanks to continue the booking, the car drove well and it was easily dropped off at the end

No price drop so I cancelled and rebooked to get a better deal

Their road side assistance was terrible. I will never recommend AVIS to anyone. I had a tire blowout & I was sitting in the car for over 2 hours on a busy highway & no one turned up. Terrible experience.

Very quick and efficient check-in - and supplied an upgraded car as my preferred car was not available.

Having to change the reservation dates by a few days (due to Covid and flight changes) I tried to amend the booking on-line, but was faced with an increase in the rental cost of some $300. I contacted the customer service number to question this increase, but the agent wasn't able to supply an answer. Hence I cancelled the original booking on-line and made a new booking at the original rental fee!! All a bit unnecessary?

They are super slow in Tampa! Rented 2 times from them within 3 weeks and it was the same thing both times. Lots of staff but no one dosing anything, chewing gum with open mouth and no action. Very very inefficient! People weee getting angry in line! If you don’t like waiting in a never ending queue, rent somewhere else!

Waited nearly 2 hours at the Budget desk, as they simply did not have enough cars available, plenty of staff on duty going very slowly. Booked large family car, as 3 of our group taller than 6 feet. We were then told at the desk it was unavailable, and that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to an SUV. I asked what the car was and staff claims he did not know. We were given an old Nissan Rogue Sports edition, the older, smaller version. It had dints, scratches and stone damage, even a piece of the bumper on the front seat. We were now 25 hours into our journey, so rather than wait, I accepted the car and carried on with our journey. Not what we ordered and will not be using Budget again.

Everything went smoothly and the counter person was very helpful

My flight was delayed 24 hours, I called Hertz direct to let them know, it was no problem and they refunded me for the day that I didn't use. Pick-up and drop-off were both very quick, car was clean... everything went smoothly.
