The car rental company is not located at the airport. After exiting the airport, I called the company and arranged to wait at the Starbucks entrance. The staff drove over to pick me up, though the wait time was a bit long. Everything else was fine, and communication went smoothly. The vehicle pickup and inspection process at the store was quick and straightforward. For pickup, all they required were a credit card (non-UnionPay), a passport, and a driver's license translation. They didn’t even check the original driver's license, which I forgot to bring. I was initially prepared for an argument but ended up not needing it at all. For those worried about forgetting their license, there’s no need to stress. The car wasn’t provided with a full tank of gas, so just return it with the same level you received.

My English was about the same level as the staff, but they patiently explained things to me multiple times, which made me feel much more at ease right after getting off the plane! I saw many comments about compulsory insurance and rude behavior if you refuse, but my experience was different. They didn't force anything, just moved to the next step and patiently explained where to pick up and drop off the car. It made me feel that Turkish people are very friendly! WindyCar! Go for it!
