“Told I would have to pay extra as car was being returned to another depot despite having paid in ful”

Was offered an upgrade which was good advice. However I was told I would have to pay extra as the car was being returned to another depot despite the receipt showing I had paid in full! I am waiting to see if I am charged for just the upgrade or both. Either way I did not want this ort of hassle when going to a funeral.
