We went to the pick up counter at the airport. It took us time to get through the paperwork and then went outside to pick up the car. We were very disappointed at this stage as it was about 4am. The car finally came was a filthy Kia Rio which the booking staff highly recommended for us. The car was covered in scratches, there were quite a few dents and the car inspection staff Riaz did not want to acknowledge all the damages on the car, as we checked inside of the car it was filthy and smelt of smoke. When we told Riaz we wanted non smoking car he said this was the only car available. We were very tired at this stage after a 14 hour flight and decided to write on the inspection form the condition of the car, which Riaz was very unhappy. The car had clicked over 100,000 on the click and bearly managed to use the car for our enjoyment. On return of the car there was a different inspector who was aware of the condition of the car and commented that we were unfortunate to be given that car. We told him our experience with Riaz and he acknowledged that he one of the difficult staff in the company. If we can avoid it we will never use Fast Car Rental again. If anyone is taking this seriously then someone should come back and let us know the outcome. Incidentally you will notice that the car you are asking about is a Mitsubishi which I booked but got a Kia Rio fit to be scrapped.
