First car was in poor condition externally. Within 5 mins a warning light came on and I had to return it. Replacement car also had a tyre warning light come on within 30 mins of driving. Pick up from airport took over 30 mins Drop off - I had to wait in the dark for someone to move 3 cars after they checked mine before being taken to the airport. 2 days after drop off of the car where no issues were raised I couldn’t use my credit card - 2100 euro still held against it. Cheap and clean but the car was damaged with one mirror held on by tape. The pickup took ages at the airport and the chosen car was not available. They upgraded us for free but it took ages to check in and get a car to us even though it was only us and one other booking

The car only had a quarter tank of fuel despite there being a full tank policy and Budget retained a fuel deposit. However, upon notifying Budget, they assured me that there would be no charges to my account.

Car was great. Little car so easy driving in Ireland. We didn't get the VW Up, but a Nissan Micra. Can feel a little under powered, but expected from the small car. Boot fitted all our luggage and car was clean (though didn't have floor mats, which we found odd. Just had to be careful of mud and dirt as it can be quite wet in Ireland). At airport, it was very easy to locate Budget counter and easy to take shuttle to pick up the car. Staff was a bit pushy in selling extra insurance even though we bought off Easyrentcars, but this seems standard across all car hires we've been to. Pick up was easy after the usual paperwork and drop off even easier and quicker.

The vehicle was great and fit 6 comfortably. The trips with our luggage was cramped. Most importantly, Europcar staff were helpful, courteous, and gave us no troubles. We brought our insurance documents, which was accepted without question. They were efficient and friendly; I would definitely use this car hire again!

No one inspected vehicle at pick up or drop off. We were told to send in a video of the car. We did that. We were charged $500 with no email explaining why. We didn’t do any damage to car at all. This rental was supposed to cost $812 instead it cost us $1700.00 very upset with this company

Drop off was misleading and totally confusing. Was supposed to open at 05:00 and I was there at 05:30. Gates were marked in red tape to say closed and open at 7 written over the 5. Return to car centre. Also why an extra charge to travel in Northern Ireland.

Waited quite a while in the terminal before being told to proceed to the shuttled bus to head to the pick up area. That time was wasted. Was initially given keys to a manual instead of an automatic. That was fixed quite quickly but was a pretty avoidance error.

Excellent service from the staff at Europcar. I was late in on a flight and they remained open for me. and upgraded me rather than send me to the far-away depot. They also facilitated me changing the details of my booking as my credit card had recently become out of date. Fantastic service all-around.

Service was proivded through Europcar. I booked a Ford Focus becasue we have 2 big luggages and required big trunk space. However, only same class (e.g. a Hyundai model) was offered when I picked up the car. As a result, the trunk space did not fit for the purpose. So it is suggested Europcar/CARHIRE to countercheck with customers the big luggages size in hand and see if the car is fit for the usage. This will significantly reduce the car pick up time or any car change process (if required).

We did have a very nice experience with the employee Alex and his colleague. They contacted us after the rental when we had returned to germany, because they found my girlfriends drivers licence and bank cards, which she had forgotten somewhere in the car. She thought they have been stolen. Alex sended the cards with no extra carge from ireland to germany and declined to take any reward money from us. Upon check in the lady told us that an extra fee for a car upgrade (diesel car) would pay of the regular booking with a gasoline car. This statement was simply false and she also did not give us any information about the toll system... we would have expected by a good customer experience. However the experience in the end (gettining the cards back) was so outstanding, that we are very happy that we are glad we had choosen Europcar, we can trust Europcar in general and give 5 stars for this rental.

Pick up was fairly easy. Drop off process was unacceptable.No one was downstairs to return the car to. I had to drive to two locations to park the car. Then I had to go upstairs in the airport to find an agent. My car was not checked in right then and I was told I would get an email next morning. One week later, no email still.I called twice and then went on to the correct site to retrieve the report. Not fun when you leave the country the next morning if there were any difficulties.

I got the impression that if i didn't reduce the excess to 0 that even for the slightest minor damage that i would have been charged the full excess of €3000. Not a pleasant experience, so i felt i needed to mitigate the future hidden cost by paying the excess of €341.

We were disgusted at the counter service. The First Lady Oliva was good and we upgraded car 10euros a day x5 and were told we had a Volkswagen which was being sent over. This was at around 12.20 By 13.30 no car had arrived. A lot of people had been waiting long time. We asked and we told someonelse had taken our car! They found instead a Renault Segesta with a sat Nav that did not work. Had we not asked would still be there. Finally drove away at 2pm. My Husband was chairing important meeting which he missed as result of Thriftys inefficiency.paid extra 10 euros too for him to drive. Think thrifty as a sign of good Will should refund at least 50.00euros to compensate for Husband missing meeting. We use car hire abroad frequently but Thrifty would think twice before using them again so let’s have some good will on their side.

Dislike: The price for week 1 was a little higher than I would have wanted to pay (but, I booked at short notice so I was not surprised). The price for week 2 was good value. I didn't like that I couldn't keep the car over the two weeks rather than having to return the car to close out booking for week 1 and open booking for week 2. However, this didn't spoil my overall experience with Avis which was very good. Lovely helpful staff.

The amount of the deposit they asked was 3 Times more than the one in the confirmation email. Hence i had no other choice than buy full insurance with them too even despite i bought full insurance with you. So i ended up having 2 full insurance. One with you and one with them.

Aside from the poor condition of the car (no inside light when dealing with toddlers in car seats in the dark is very inconvenient for just one example), my biggest complaint is that the car was rented to me with only 1/4 of a tank of fuel. I almost ran out of fuel late at night in rural Ireland.

We were given a Nissan Quasqai in our arrival to Dublin & had to return it a few days later as the lights on the vehicle were terrible & dangerous. We then got a Renault fluence the only good thing about this car was the lights were a big improvement. Overall we were disappointed with our hire.
