ACE inexistant à l'aéroport de bordeaux, et je découvre au final que c'est une autre agence qui va me louer la voiture... parking en travaux avec mes deux valises à parcourir le parking pour trouver quel loueur représente ACE !!!!! une location réservée ou on me donne le choix entre deux voitures, j'en choisie une et on m'annonce que pour celle la c'est 10 euros de plus, sans compter le message insistant de l'agent qui veut absolument me faire souscrire une assurance complémentaire. Qu'en cas d'accident il m'en coutera une franchise. J'ai fait 10 h d'avion et j'ai vraiment autre chose à faire que de chercher l'agence partout, je suis fatiguée et je suis assez grande pour savoir que l'assurance en plus n'est pas une obligation. Surtout que vous avez des assurances et que vous outrepasser vos prérogatives de loueur en annonçant que la caution sera prélevée si il y a un accident avec un véhicule assuré tout risque. Formez mieux vos agents et ne prenez pas vos clients pour des imbéciles et affichez sur le bureau a bordeaux un panneau pour ne pas avoir a chercher vos bureaux.

“The wait to pick up the car at the airport was over 90mins which is excessive.”

The wait on arrival was excessive, I don't expect to wait over 90 mins in a queue for a pre-booked car. The woman at the drop off was rude and unhelpful when I asked about the excess I had but on my card. ACE would not accept American express for the final payment or the excess ( I had a separate insurance for this) and I had to put it on my debit card which cost me money and I have to wait 8 days to get it back but that was difficult to find out as they told me it would be sorted out when I returned and then they were rude at the drop off when I asked about it and I had to go back into the terminal desk. There was a queue and I had to get a flight but the girl just said I had to wait till they pay it back.

“Hidden charges”

We waited over an hour and despite booking with ‘Ace’ we were with Goldcar. When we got seen, it took 20 minutes for the rep to find us a suitable car and then I was told the deposit on my credit card was a lot higher than I had expected and exceeded my credit limit. I therefore had to pay an extra €118 for the Super Relax Cover, thus doubling the hire charge. Not a pleasant experience.

Waited over an hour to pick up the car. When we got to the desk there were 5 customer service people on duty but one by one they left leaving only one person to deal with the last three customers. They clearly don't care.

“Great car, great car park staff, not very smooth pick up process”

The car was amazing. The staff at the car park were really friendly and helpful too. But the staff at the desk were not so friendly and also a bit of a mess - a long queue formed and we waited almost an hour even though we arrived with just 2 groups in front of us. Also, I would recommend taking photos of the car beforehand. There was a scratch that was not caused by us but had not been recorded. The blame would have been put on us had I not taken a photo that showed it was there before we left.

“I would not use this company again”

Not use again simply because on picking car up, we were told that we were not covered for anything on car unless we paid €188 for their insurance. I had paid extra when booking the car for initially for coverage. They told me at counter it doesn’t count and we would be charged for anything wrong on return of car. We opted not to take it but puts an amount of anxiety on you during by whole holiday.
