Driving on highways in Spain is relatively simple and safe. Most drivers follow rules and are courteous, generally keeping to the right lane and using the left lane only for overtaking. However, city roads are more complex with many roundabouts, often close together, sometimes less than 100 meters apart. You also need to watch for pedestrians when entering or exiting roundabouts, which led to me taking wrong turns several times.
