On line it said that collision and theft was $8.98 but I got charged $34.95 per day. False advertising. I had Liability but not comprehension and told the attend. I was surprised at the added cost so a slightly more than $200 plus $8-98 per day rate turned into almost $450.
On top of that it was dark out and the car was backed up near a barrier. I looked for the obvious faults in the car condition but didn't see down low near the under carriage that a red reflector was broken. I saw it later when I had ease of seeing the full rear of the car. When I turned the car in I mentioned it to the attendant and he said yes it was already noted. So the Q is, how many people got charged to repair this problem when it was not their fault?
Like: I know I got a great price and I got upgraded to a fantastic car. The staff was friendly and informative. Dislike: I would book this service again. Rental car lines can always be long. There was only one guy working when i got in line but another lady came in and helped. The wait could have been much longer if there was nobody there to help.
Check in process was quick and efficient. Staff was friendly. Airport is small so car was easy to find and return. There were a few issues: the car interior was dirty and stunk of pot and cigars upon pick up. The exterior had a few more dings and dents than a usual rental and the the tires needed alignment. When the car reached 70mph, it would shake. The speed limit on the highway in NM can be 75 in some locations but we just couldn’t drive that fast. Also, it appears I was charged an additional $6.51 for something when I returned the car but I have no idea what this was for as the description was vague & I only received an e-receipt a couple of hours later when I was no longer at the airport.

No one received me on the drop off site and i left the car 5 days ago and still didn’t receive my bill. They left open my contract and I have been charged for a 2,000 dlls bill!! And I only used the car for a day.
Vehicle condition was exceptionally poor - service reminder keep coming on, vehicle had over 33,000 miles, tires were balding and left front had half-dollar sized hole from bald tread down to nickel sIzard hole showing radial plys ( most dangerous), headlights were so poorly aligned as to shine maybe 35-40 feet onto road and brights shone only just a little more making night driving most difficult and unsafe, steering pulled vehicle to left; windshield inside was not really clean, gas tank was only 3/4 to 7/8 full and Advantage did not give me any credit for returning vehicle with full tank. This is the second ‘poor’ to very poor condition vehicle encountered from Advantage.
I was supposed to get a Mazda 3 or similar but was given a Buick Encore which used much more gasoline and by the time we returned it there was a "Check Engine" light on. Other than that Thrifty was O.K.

I thought QEEQ.COM was easy to use and saved me money.
Hertz charged me a much higher rate than was quoted. Waited over an hour on hold and no one ever picked up at the billing department. They may have got me for 150 dollars but they lost a customer for life and I plan on telling anyone that listens just how bad they are.
I also rent a lot of cars for work mostly National and have never been treated like this.
The car had a sliding transmission and when I filled the gas tank upp before dropping off the gas meter didn't work. I put in more gasloine then needed before the needle wasn't going up.
