Please contact the staff to pick you up to Apex - Auckland Airport car rental when you arrived.

Auckland International Terminal 1. Upon arrival at Auckland International Terminal, phone 0800 935 050 to request a pick up service. You can also contact us using the airport free phones located at the Visitor Information Centre (i-Site) - Dial 20 for Apex. 2. Proceed through 'Door 11' located by the Visitor Information Centre (i-Site) and turn right. Wait at the 'Off Airport Pick Ups' area (hotels, parking, rental cars). 3. You will be collected by a large white shuttle van with Apex Car Rentals branding on the side. 4. When the shuttle arrives, our driver will load your luggage into the back of the van for you. 5. Please tell the driver your name and show him your confirmation (if required). 6. The rental location is three minutes drive from the Auckland International Terminal. Auckland Domestic Terminal 1. Upon arrival, phone 0800 93 50 50 or use the airport free phone (dial 20) and let us know that you're ready to be picked up. You can use the airports free phones located at the baggage claim areas. 2. Proceed to the Jetstar Terminal and exit through Door 7 or 8 (opposite the Jetstar check-in counter). 3. If you have arrived on an Air New Zealand flight, please proceed to the Jetstar Terminal via the central food court (1 minute walk). 4. Please wait outside Door 7 or 8 for our shuttle van to arrive. We will collect you in a large white van with Apex Car Rentals branding. 5. When the shuttle van arrives, our driver will load your luggage into the back of the van for you. 6. Please tell the driver your name and show him your confirmation (if requested). 7. The rental location is three minutes drive from the Auckland Domestic Terminal.

The pick up area was not located directly at the airport. We had to walk for a good 5-10 minutes with my dad (who is an elderly person), then wait more than 15mins for a shuttle to drop us at the APEX site where we had to queue for 20mins before talking to a very slow and not competent person (for another 20mins before we could get the vehicle)

Car was VERY used, a lot of damage inside and outside. Two photo sessions was needed to document it all, wiper not good, and key not funtional below 12C. We did not get the car we had booked, Nissan...but a 110.000km used Subaru.

Handed an ancient model of the vehicle - despite a new model being shown when I booked. Refused to take the car as it wouldn’t fit our luggage and was a Wreck but apex demanded more money. Smooth pick up and drop off. Friendly staff - tried to upsell insurance as expected. Car was in quite poor condition exteriorly - lots of scratches and several chips on the windscreen which we did raise there and then and staff assured us this was all noted and would be accounted for at the end. They take pictures and email them to you to confirm appearance of vehicle at collection, we were quite alarmed when we got these through to our email several hours later as they in no way represented the extent of the scratches and chips present (thankfully we took our own extensive pictures). We called the company who were quite reassuring about the situation. At drop off we were whisked away almost instantly at Wellington Airport - very efficient. They did release all of our deposit so seems they are perhaps more laid back than other rental companies we've dealt with in the past! The extra insurance would have been around 90 NZD so perhaps we could have saved ourselves the anxiety of wondering if our 2000 dollars was safe by paying that.
