We originally rented a Mondeo, but the staff noticed we had a lot of luggage and offered to upgrade us to a Volkswagen with a larger trunk for just 7 euros more per day. This turned out to be the right decision. The car was in excellent condition; it was a diesel and had only 7800 kilometers on it, making it very fuel-efficient. We drove 1700 kilometers in total and spent 138 euros on fuel. Returning the car was also very easy and hassle-free. The staff inspected the car and immediately processed the return. The simplicity exceeded our expectations.
