You can walk to the counter of National - Christchurch International Airport car hire.

Your rental will be serviced by Enterprise. Upon arrival please be on the lookout for the Enterprise counter located in the Arrivals hall of the airport terminal. Your rental will be serviced there. Customers arriving at Christchurch Airport will find the Enterprise counter as they exit the international departures, turn left and the Enterprise/Alamo/National branch is located adjacent to the Spark Telcom shop in the Arrivals hall. Car park is located only a short walk away outside the terminal building. Priority service line is located at the same counter, for Emerald Club Members and Corporate Account Holders.

Ferry crossings are allowed. Cross-border travel must be declared to the branch 3+ days in advance; unauthorized travel breaches the contract and incurs penalties. Travel to restricted NZ areas (e.g., Ball Hutt Rd, Skippers Rd, Ninety Mile Beach, Te Paki Stream Bed, Macetown Rd, coast road to Russell, or unformed/gravel roads) voids cover and increases liability.
