Really long wait for pick up

Easyrentcars's price include all of the insurance and then I was charged on damage collision and theft protection insurance at Europecar again without explanation in advance. They told me I signed the contract so it means I accepted and could not claim it back.

Like: Hyundi H1 was reasonable - good size for 4 adults and 3 children
Dislike: Hündin H1 developed some faults including one door not opening.

Although I booked months in advance you did not have the SUV which I orecered because my wife needs a tall car. We had to take a very small Toyota At least you promised a 50% refund. Very good customer service. We will book next December when we visit again

Great service, Car was basic (no radio/bluetooth) but that's fine for south Africa! Note- they require licenses that show an issue date of at least 3 years, which could be a limitation for Canadian licenses for example which don't show the original issue date. Nonetheless the counter staff were very helpful

I appreciate it sits within the ECONOMY category but the Renault Qwid is just a terrible car! I would expect this to be sitting in the lower MINI category.

Had to wait nearly a hour even though there was only 3 people in front in the queue. The whole process it way too long and the counter staff where so slow.

Rented a car from Nov11th to Nov23rd in Cape Town South Africa. At the counter, they pushed me with an « upgrade » for an increase of R1961 over the price already paid with "Easyrentcars". Finally, they charged me about R3150 on my card on the same day and I saw it when I received my account during december. They don't answer to my demands for a refund. A SCAM !! A nice plus to this situation is that there were some scratchs on a hub cover when I took charge of the car but the staff told me itw as so light, itw as nothing. After returning the car, they now want to charge me almost $100 for ONE hub cap !! ANOTHER SCAM !!??

Everything was good, except the condition of the car. The side mirror adjustment switch fell off as soon as we tried to used it and the shocks absorber make loud noise the whole trip.

Like: Upon arrival I walked into the Hertz section of the car rentals and I got helped immediatly. Friendly agent. Very helpful person at the car itself. Gave me the tip to photograph all dents and scratches and also advised me to put my luggage + my handbag in the boot to avoid any trouble at the robots.
Dislike: The boot of the car had been smashed by a previous user. The lock of the 5th door didn't function properly. Fortunately my journey was short and I didn't have to stop at many robots because the door had opened and all my luggage + my handbag were exposed and for grabs. This car shouldn't have been rented out without fixing it.

The only problem I faced was when I needed to use the windshield wipers and fluid to clean my windshield after being spattered with mud on the highway, I found the fluid to be completely empty. This is quite dangerous; I had to pull over at that point. This is the second time this has happened to me, which is upsetting.

Like: We had to wait for more than an hour as the system was down when we got to the shop. However, the staff did try to expedite the process by getting others in the line to fill up the forms first. When we weren't satisfied with the car, the staff also patiently showed us a few more & provided alternatives. Although the process was a little frustrating, the service of the staff made it up for that :) Car return was also easy & hassle free!
Dislike: We had booked the car in advance & it would be great to have another queue where customers who have made prior booking can head straight to sign & collect the car (instead of waiting in line with those who didnt do prior booking & needed more time). The model (or similar ones) we booked for weren't available. Though the staff was kind to offer a better model, our luggages still couldn't fit (without revealing our luggages) & we had to return he following day for a swop. Could have save us the hassle & time.
