The main driver and any additional drivers will need to provide a physical full driving license in their name with no major endorsements. The license should be held for at least 1 year(s).

Customers who collect a vehicle from the UK mainland and wish to drive within the Republic of Ireland or mainland Europe are required to purchase European Travel Coverage. Renters must inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the UK mainland with the vehicle and require our authorization. Customers are required to inform the rental branch with no less than 72 hours’ notice prior to collecting the vehicle to arrange their European Travel Coverage. The charge for European Travel Coverage is £150 per rental for all cross border travels. Customers renting from Northern Ireland wishing to cross the border into the Republic of Ireland will only be charged £25.

The booking was easy, simple and verified fully to know we had a car. At Alamo, the staff were extremely efficient and totally professional, they couldn’t do anymore to help us. I say this as I needed to get to and from the train station, whereby they assisted in giving me a ride at pick up and drop off, which was extra to requirements and this courtesy helped us no end. Can’t thank them enough for the assistance given. Totally totally recommended.
