There is a counter in the airport hall. After completing the paperwork, you can pick up the car in the nearby parking lot. The parking lot is not far; it's just a two or three-minute walk.

The staff at Dusseldorf airport were very friendly and provided clear directions to the car pickup area. We got an Audi A3, which was in excellent condition with powerful acceleration. The gas station nearby was very convenient.

The car was very new and clean, with only about 1900 kilometers on it. Although I had booked an Opel station wagon, they gave me a Hyundai instead. Be very careful at intersections; it's easy to take a wrong turn. Because my flight was delayed, I called in advance to explain the situation, which was fine. When I arrived at the rental point and mentioned my name, they immediately knew who I was, like they were saying, 'We've been waiting for you, you're finally here!' It felt nice.
