    Terrible organisation. Looks cheap on the face of it but then they bully you into taking additional cover when you arrive. Had already paid for extra insurance on time of booking and was told this wasn't sufficient and was useless and was then charged an additional 176 euros on top of the £80 i'd already paid in additional cover. Would never use this company again.

    The collection desk was much improved from the previous occasions and there was not too much up selling and threatening by hard selling the extra insurance for damages. I have already bought my own annual insurance for this at a fraction of the price charged by Easy cars and others. The car was ready but a bit frustrated that I had to get marks added that were not shown - makes me suspicious. Also marks of the inside was 'not included' which didnt sound right . The gent at the handover was top class and very helpful - a credit.

    Not use again simply because on picking car up, we were told that we were not covered for anything on car unless we paid €188 for their insurance. I had paid extra when booking the car for initially for coverage. They told me at counter it doesn’t count and we would be charged for anything wrong on return of car. We opted not to take it but puts an amount of anxiety on you during by whole holiday.

    The car was amazing. The staff at the car park were really friendly and helpful too. But the staff at the desk were not so friendly and also a bit of a mess - a long queue formed and we waited almost an hour even though we arrived with just 2 groups in front of us. Also, I would recommend taking photos of the car beforehand. There was a scratch that was not caused by us but had not been recorded. The blame would have been put on us had I not taken a photo that showed it was there before we left.

    Was good, counter staff very helpful. Think the insurance thing is a bit cheeky really but i get it. Also they didnt know id reserved a car seat. Luckily had brought own anyway as airline said was no extra cost. Should be made clear about huge deposit if you dont take out insurance as i hadnt brought a card with that amount of cash on.

    It was not clear Ace was part of Goldcar. Felt completely mislead, that we had booked a car for a certain price, but when we got there we had to either put down a deposit over €1000 on a credit card (that we couldn’t do) or pay insurance of over €120. We were told by the rude desk staff that it was in the small print and we should read them better. It was mis- selling and we will never use you again. I actually want compensation as I’m so angry and it ruined our trip.

    No issues with the car however despite already requesting on two occassions I'm still awaiting a copy of my return paperwork and deposit. I took the opportunity to inspect the car thoroughly along with the car hire company representative present and it was confirmed that no damage was observed. The paperwork was completed on an ipad at 20:30hrs on Sunday 2nd June and I signed and confirmed my email. I was then notified by the attendant I would receive a copy confirming the car had been returned in an acceptable condition. Disappointingly I have yet to receive a copy of the signed paperwork. The attendant also informed me it would take 7 days to return the deposit to my credit card. I emailed Easyrent and they have sent an emil to the car hire company but I'm still waiting.

    The car was excellent as was the pick up and delivery service. I was, however, disappointed at the 50 Euro penalty for filling up the fuel tank with very little fuel needed. As the car was returned 2 days early, I felt that the 50 Euros was excessive even though it was probably in the terms and conditions. Under these circumstances perhaps you might consider refunding part of the penalty.

    The car was very beat up and the guy handing over the keys said he didnt cxare what state it was brought back in. The car stunk of spilt alcohol and there was a hole in the front divers carpet. It drove okay although there was no radio reception. Later found that the aerial had been broken off. Next day with my wheels turned outwards I realised the two front tyres were badly worn and probably illegal. I looked in the boot for the spare, but there was none. I could not find any details on the booking paperwork for a number to phone. Very disappointed, the rental was not cheap but I was given a third rate /unroad worthy car

    ACE was dire. The pick up took over an hour. After a flight with a 6 month baby and a 5 year old, this was far too long to wait to get to the desk to be served. English was poor, and it was a battle to convince them of the insurance I had already paid for with AXA via Easyrent. They even tried to con us out of 20 Euros for petrol to fill up saying the nearest petrol station was over 30km away from the airport. I had been to the airport several times and the petrol station that was 5km away has always sufficed.

    We arrived on time to pick up our rental car only to be met by a sea of people waiting to collect their cars . Firstly, there were only 4 staff working and they each took around 20mîns if not more to serve each customer! No sense of trying to speed up to help with the ever growing queues! Once we had waited for 2 hours and 20 mins (!!!) we finally had our number called . We were then met by an incredibly slow, unapologetic and borderline agressive member of staff. When we asked for an explanation for the long wait and utter chaos, we were given no apology ( as the representative of ACE should have done in basic customer service ) and just an aggressive and rude attitude whilst we tried to collect our car. In the many years of travel and use of car hire companies at Bordeaux Meringnac airport I have never been treated so incredibly badly nor had to wait so long with no apology or basic customer service. I will never use this company again and will be sure to pass the word on amoung my contact , friends , family and anyone else who I know is looking for car rental .

    It took 5 hours to rent the car and everything was as vague as can be. The whole process is designed to sell Insurance and upgrades. A ridiculous process which created 60 people long queues. I am sure that these rental agencies are either owned or financed by the main players like Hertz with the sole objective to drive people back to them and NEVER , EVER consider leaving again.

    j'ai loué la voiture chez ACE,comment savoir que Global car se substitue à ACE sauf par un petit panneau derrière le comptoir?Beaucoup d'attente au comptoir car le personnel tente de vous imposer une assurance à plus de 100€ malgré l'assurance souscrite lors de la réservation et devient très désagréable lorsqu'on lui oppose un refus:plus de 30' d'attente et une sérieuse prise de bec avec l'employé. Aéroport de BOD en travaux,guichets de location mal indiqués...Heureusement le personnel pour la livraison et la restitution du véhicule était très sympathique et opérationnel malgré l'affluence.

    The sign at Bordeaux Airport for ACE car rentals was a tiny A4 piece of paper with no other directions. Wait time at the desk was 10minutes yet took over 3hrs to get all the cars for my party! Was given 3 different cars, the children seats I had pre booked weren't available and as a result was pulled over by the police which was a horrific experience for my 18month old daughter. We were asked for a 1,400 Euro deposit each for each car which was news to us. Having finally paid everything and gotten our cars after multiple changes and a police stop (they wanted to make us get taxis for the kids) we were on our way. 2 out 3 cars we didn't fill up on return and were fined 50 euros per car atop the petrol cost. 1 car was filled up but apparently 4 euros short of a full tank and an additional 50 euro charge was placed on our card a week later (having agreed at the drop off the tank was full). Bottom line is this was the worst experience of my life and thing ACE and all their staff should be ashamed of themselves.

    We waited over an hour and despite booking with ‘Ace’ we were with Goldcar. When we got seen, it took 20 minutes for the rep to find us a suitable car and then I was told the deposit on my credit card was a lot higher than I had expected and exceeded my credit limit. I therefore had to pay an extra €118 for the Super Relax Cover, thus doubling the hire charge. Not a pleasant experience.

    Checking in a nightmare. Nearly two hours queuing at Bordeaux airport to do check in. Irate customers ended up in aggressive altercation with one of the desk staff, police were called to calm everything down. Our check in lady apologised and was helpful, but overall a ridiculous length of time to pick up a car. Dropping off was easier and customer service pleasant and efficient.

    I was concerned upon arrrival and seeing Ace was at the same doubter as goldcar with just a tiny A4 sign as I had read so many poor reviews of glodcar, this meat I left with the hire car with some concerns regards what would happen when I returned it! The guy on the vonnter was very polite and did not push any additional insurances as I had expected, we had no issues with the car and return was smooth. I would just recommend that Ace distance themselves from the negative glodcar reputation if possible.

    Online this company seemed the cheapest but I could only pay a £17 holding deposit for the car. When I completed the booking in Bordeaux the actual cost was equivalent to the other hire companies. The staff were nice & the pick up was in terminal and the car was clean and new.

    The wait on arrival was excessive, I don't expect to wait over 90 mins in a queue for a pre-booked car. The woman at the drop off was rude and unhelpful when I asked about the excess I had but on my card. ACE would not accept American express for the final payment or the excess ( I had a separate insurance for this) and I had to put it on my debit card which cost me money and I have to wait 8 days to get it back but that was difficult to find out as they told me it would be sorted out when I returned and then they were rude at the drop off when I asked about it and I had to go back into the terminal desk. There was a queue and I had to get a flight but the girl just said I had to wait till they pay it back.

    Waited for a long time because the car was not on the system at the desk despite me having an email confirmation. Not even sure who the car was supplied by - Rhodium, Ace or Gold Cars? Waited for an hour for this to be rectified with a preganant girlfriend. Lady at the pick up desk was rude and unhelpful, I was told I was 'lucky you dont have to wait longer'. Aggressive attempts to sell insurance add ons. Eventually collected the car which was dented, scratched and dirty inside and out. Was told 'you are lucky its scratched because then its less likely you'll be charged for scratches that you cant even see when you bring it back'! In summary, a poor start to our holiday. Won't be using again.

    Le véhicule était parfait nous avons été surclassé. Car chez ACE on appel au moment ou le client est au guichet pour savoir si un véhicule est disponible. Attente improbable au guichet, on essai de nous revendre une assurance alors qu'elle est deja prise sur le site, un scandal pour 160 euros de location avec assurance, on m'a demandé 95 euros en plus ou emprunte sur la CB pour la franchise.

    Car rental collection system appalling, completely ridiculous ticket system to wait your turn which was similar to playing the lottery. We waited well over an hour to collect the car but only by trading up our ticket number, we spoke to someone who'd waited 5 hours! Didn't appreciate the threats made in order to get us to buy the extra insurance for £200 which would ensure we could rely on help should we have the misfortune of being involved in an accident. Instead we were left worried for the whole week that we would be abandoned should the worst happen. We'd purchased excess cover insurance beforehand but were told that was no use! The car was not clean on the outside and in order to check the car properly we had to scrape off bird poo to check for damage, which included a windscreen chip which hadn't been noted already. Didn't think much to the car either, given it's supposed to take 5 people plus suitcases, a 1.2litre car to me is unsuitable. It struggled with motorway speed and felt like it had done 100,000 miles not 5000 as the clock said. All in all not an enjoyable start to a holiday!

    The staff at the Rhodium ick up desk were very eager to sell the extra insurance even though I stated I had extra cover and therefore was not interested so pick up was long. Returning the car was not a pleasant experience and as a customer you were made to feel that you had to pass some kind of test during vehicle inspection I would not recommend it

    Waited 3 hours to get car, staff on desk were useless just saying it takes what it takes. Will never use again. The drop off was also terrible, staff ignoring me, badly signposted to return the car - whole pickup and dropoff process terrible.

    ACE in Bordeaux is Gold Car, a company I avoided, despite being cheaper, due to its very poor reviews. It took over 2 hours to collect the car. Car received had class 1 damage, with very few panels not damaged. Drop off took around 15 mins. Gold Car have offered compensation for delay, before I have complained, of 1 days rental. However, my final invoice has shown no credit. We shall see.

    The only presence that ACE appears to have at the airport is a crudely desiged logo printed onto an A4 sheet of paper and sellotaped to the wall behind the Goldcar desk. It was almost impossible to find. Our booking voucher asked us to join the ‘Priority Lane’ but there was none. There were 79 customers waiting in a 3 hour queue ahead of us. There was nowhere to sit and we had to leave our children on the floor with our luggage. When we did finally pick up the car, the tank wasn’t completely full, despite being on a full to full contract, but by then we were beyond caring. We nearly missed the latest check in for accommodation because of the delays.

    Counter staff tried to pressure me to buy additional insurance which I had already purchased in the uk. I was also told that if the car broke down or I was involved in an accident there was no breakdown or recovery included in the rental. In her words ‘ you are on your own’. The car had a lot of dents and scratches and the interior was dirty. The woman in the pick up cabin was not interested in helping me to identify all of the damage on the car bodywork when I collect the car.

    Ace is an American company which has no presence at Bordeaux airport. You pick up the cars from Goldcar and the queue for the desk is huge because it is not big enough for the amount of customers. I had terrible customer service between Ace and Goldcar when my daughter was taken into hospital and I could not return the car because their process and systems are not aligned. I would not recommend using them

    Terrible service, tried charging me over twice the price of fee i agreed on the internet, tried selling me insurance i didnt need and lied and told me my insurance didnt include things that it obviously did. Charged me more for bringing car over border to spain from france than they should have. Charged me for 7 days(full rental time) even though i was only over in spain for 2 days. Was a very stressful experience. had to argue for 30 mins at kiosk.

    ACE inexistant à l'aéroport de bordeaux, et je découvre au final que c'est une autre agence qui va me louer la voiture... parking en travaux avec mes deux valises à parcourir le parking pour trouver quel loueur représente ACE !!!!! une location réservée ou on me donne le choix entre deux voitures, j'en choisie une et on m'annonce que pour celle la c'est 10 euros de plus, sans compter le message insistant de l'agent qui veut absolument me faire souscrire une assurance complémentaire. Qu'en cas d'accident il m'en coutera une franchise. J'ai fait 10 h d'avion et j'ai vraiment autre chose à faire que de chercher l'agence partout, je suis fatiguée et je suis assez grande pour savoir que l'assurance en plus n'est pas une obligation. Surtout que vous avez des assurances et que vous outrepasser vos prérogatives de loueur en annonçant que la caution sera prélevée si il y a un accident avec un véhicule assuré tout risque. Formez mieux vos agents et ne prenez pas vos clients pour des imbéciles et affichez sur le bureau a bordeaux un panneau pour ne pas avoir a chercher vos bureaux.
