Original Driver License + Temporary Sri Lankan Driving Licence
To obtain a temporary Sri Lankan driving license, you are required to bring your original driving license, an International Driving Permit (IDP), your passport, and a clear passport-sized photo of yourself to DMT (Department of Motor Traffic). The cost is about 50 EUR and it's subject to the local charge standard.(Please note this process will take a couple of hours and the DMT office is open only on Mon - Fri from 8.30 am till 3.30 pm.)
Driving License Requirement: A Sri Lankan temporary driving license is mandatory to drive in Sri Lanka. We can arrange it in advance for customers at a cost of 50 EUR, payable at pickup. Customers must send a scanned copy of their International Driving Permit (IDP), passport, and passport-size photo via email or WhatsApp. Processing takes 2–3 days.
