The customer will exit baggage claim and proceed to the Enterprise counter in rent a car area. There they will find an Enterprise representative that will take customer to shuttle pickup area. The shuttle is shared with National and Alamo and comes at 5 minute intervals. Customers are to return the car at Liberia office and then take the shuttle to airport. Customers are not to return car at the airport.

Outside the terminal, please look for AmiGO representative who will be waiting for you with a sign with the name of the company: AmiGO. COUNTER: After customs the customer must continue outside the terminal. An Avis employee duly identified, will help with luggage and shuttle. The customer will be transferred to a location which is 2 kms away from the Airport Terminal where the rental agreement will be issued. No shuttle fee. Distance to vehicle 2 kms, travel time 2 min. Shuttle runs every 3 minutes.

Staff pushing hard on full insurance... Fortunately I speak Spanish and did my research on what I needed... Many tourists in neighboring counters took full insurance at $40USD a day. Good location though and shuttle was easy to find.

Car received was fairly clean and spacious for 5 people and our luggage, however had many dents and scratches. Also the customer rep at the counter did not properly explain my insurance options and got me to buy the minimal coverage when I would have otherwise gone with no insurance and saved a lot. Otherwise a great renting experience. will rent again if in Costa Rica.

First of all, the counter clerk insisted I pay $3000US deposit on the vehicle because I declined the "zero liability" insurance option even after I confirmed the fact my Visa includes this as a card courtesy. This could potentially ruin someone's trip if they didn't have that kind of money to leave as a deposit. Then, without my knowledge or say so, the vehicle booked was substituted for an inferior vehicle which lead to me blowing a tire while traveling to my rental property and then having to waste a day of my vacation (4+hour round trip) to return the vehicle and exchange it. Not to mention that the jack included in the vehicle was damaged and missing pieces making the tire change much more difficult than it should have been. Overall, NOT a good experience with Budget!

The van was all manual. Each door had to be locked individually. windows were all manual. passenger seats were uncomfortable. I believe i paid for a an upgraded "luxury model". so the price was a little high for what i got.
