Dedicated customer service

To be honest this time renting a car in Athens my feelings were a bit mixed at the start. I was traveling alone from Australia and I had booked the car on QEEQ before I came so I thought everything would be simple. Around June 24 in the morning I went to the Europcar counter near the airport to pick up the car. In my mind I kept thinking about all the work I did before. I really wanted a 4x4 Dacia Duster and I felt it was perfect for my plan. At the counter the staff gave me two car options. I did not know the models and they did not look like the car I studied before. I already felt that something was wrong. On the contract it showed Citroën C3 Aircross and that did not match my idea of a 4x4. So I was a bit unsure. Later I walked to the parking area and I saw a Dacia Duster. I thought in my head finally this is the car. Then I checked it more and found it was only two wheel drive. I felt upset right away because I remembered I paid more money to get a 4x4 and I had spent time doing research for it. Standing in the parking lot under the strong sun my brain was full of questions and I felt like the branch did not treat my booking seriously. I was alone and I did not have a local phone number only a data card. At that moment I really did not know who I should talk to. Then I contacted their customer service and told them clearly that I booked a 4x4. I also said that I have been using this platform since 2018 and never had any problem before. I really did not want to just accept this. The customer service listened and their attitude was serious. I did not feel ignored and it made me feel I was important. They said they would talk with the rental company for me. In my heart I hoped it would not take too long because I was alone and I had to return the car around the afternoon of June 29 and catch a flight. In the next days I sometimes saw Citroën C3 Aircross on the road. The more I looked at that car the more I felt it was smaller than I expected. I did not feel it was any kind of upgrade. So the 4x4 problem stayed in my mind. During this time the customer service kept in touch with me and gave me updates about their talks with the rental company. I could feel that someone was really following my case and I was not asked to fight with the counter by myself. Inside I felt a bit more safe because I was not shouting into the air alone. When there was a final result the rental company still said they gave me an upgraded car and they refused to refund. I was quite disappointed as I knew it would be very hard for me to argue with the counter alone. But the customer service did not stop at that point. They offered me 100 US dollars as compensation because I did not get the 4x4 I wanted. They said it was to cover the difference. I thought about it and felt that without their help I would never get anything from the rental company. So I accepted it. Looking back at the whole story the words from the rental company still make me unhappy but the way the customer service stayed with me really mattered. As a solo traveler when something goes wrong it is a big thing to have someone keep talking with the rental company and stand by me. I did not feel that I was left alone without support. This experience also made me sure that when I book with QEEQ again I will check the car details more carefully but I also know that if something happens there will be someone on their side who will speak up for me.

One-Dollar Freeze

When I made this booking I felt a bit nervous. It was my first time booking such a big car on QEEQ and it was for Rhodes in Greece. I was afraid that a big charge would hit my card at once and I did not want that. Then I saw an option called One-Dollar Freeze. I clicked it and saw that I only needed to pay 1 USD to lock the car. I felt much more relaxed right away. I planned to arrive in Rhodes around the afternoon of June 18 2026. I had already spent a lot on the trip. If the full rental amount was charged at once my credit card limit would feel very tight. That night I sat at home in front of my computer. I looked at the page and thought for a while. Then I decided to try this 1 USD way. After I paid I got a bank message that showed only 1 USD. My stress became much lower. A few days later I checked the booking details more carefully. The rental company was VOLTA 4u and the car was a Nissan Evalia. Manual gear and 7 seats. A big car like this is popular in high season. I thought that without this One-Dollar Freeze I might wait and not dare to book so early. Then maybe there would be no big car for me. Now with just 1 USD the car was safe for me and I could plan other parts of the trip. In the middle of June a few days before the start date I watched my credit card bill. They charged the rest of the money before the pick up time. It was around one or two days before I was going to get the car at about 4 pm on June 20. On that day I was at work during lunch break and I checked my phone. I saw that the charge was successful. I felt like everything was now in order and there was no sudden huge payment to shock me. When I actually flew to Rhodes I did not think much about the payment anymore because it felt light. At the airport I went to the VOLTA 4u counter to do the paperwork. The staff asked for my credit card and I was not stressed because most of the money was already paid. It was just the normal deposit. I thought that if they had taken a big amount at the start I might still be worried about the bill at that moment. In this whole experience my favorite part was this One-Dollar Freeze. It made that booking moment very easy for me. That night I used only 1 USD to hold the car. There was no interest and no strange extra fee. My credit card pressure was much lower. I did not need to do a lot of math or think too long about paying everything at once. For a traveler like me this feeling is very important. Later during the trip I thought about the booking process again. I realized the key step was that I dared to click the book button that night. If I had needed to pay the full amount I might think for one or two more days. By the time I decided the big car might be gone. They set the rest of the payment to be taken automatically before the start date. I did not need to check every day. I just made sure my card had enough limit. For this booking from start to finish I never felt pushed into a complicated payment plan. It was simple. Pay 1 USD first to reserve and pay the rest later. For me this style is very good when I use a credit card and do not want a big charge all at once.

Price Drop Protector

"Do you know you saved money again" My friend said this on video while I was staring at photos of Crete on my laptop. The sea was bright blue. I laughed and said "This time they helped me save it." I booked my car on QEEQ for a solo trip to Crete. After I made the first booking I did nothing else. I only remembered I would pick up the car around the afternoon on August third and return it in the afternoon around August seventeenth. In my head I already saw myself with a backpack and a small suitcase walking out of the airport. A few days later I got an email that said because of Price Drop Protector my booking was made again with a lower price and they would give me the difference back. I was a bit confused at first. Then I opened my booking. The car was still a Volkswagen T-cross and the place was the same. Only the price was lower than before. I felt very relaxed. It was like I suddenly got some extra pocket money. I sent a screenshot to my friend. She said "So you did nothing and now you have more budget." I thought about it. It was true. I did not compare many sites and I did not check prices every day. I just booked the car once. They noticed the price drop and did all the work for me. I only need to show up in Crete and pick up the car at the time. I imagine myself driving near the sea. The sun is on the windshield. Because of the money I saved I can maybe have one more dinner by the beach or buy a boat ticket to another small town. For me this feature is nice because I am not very good at planning prices but I still want to save a bit. In my mind I made a note. If I book a car again and I can use this kind of service that sends money back when the price goes down I will use it again.

Price Drop Protector

Can you really make extra money when you book a rental car? I only found out it is kind of possible when I booked with QEEQ. I was planning a trip to Rhodes in Greece and I chose a Toyota Auris manual from Exer. The price looked okay so I just booked it and did not think too much. Some time later I saw an email with a new booking number. I got a bit nervous and thought I did something wrong and that I might be charged more. I checked the email carefully and saw that their Price Drop Protector started to work. The price for the same car became lower and they rebooked it for me with the cheaper price and sent the difference back to me. I felt surprised because I did nothing myself. It was like I suddenly had a bit of extra money for my trip. The amount was not huge but I knew that without this service I would never notice the price drop, so inside I felt pretty happy. For a traveler like me who goes abroad and still needs to watch the budget, it feels like someone is watching the price for you in the background. I just focus on my plans in early July in Rhodes, like picking up the car at the airport around the third and returning it on the eighth after a few days of driving around. They handle the rest for me. When I opened my booking page later, the new lower price was already there and the payment looked normal with no strange extra fees, so this booking felt really worth it.

One-Dollar Freeze

That evening in Zakynthos the sky was still bright and the wind came from the sea. I was looking at my booking on my phone and I felt very relaxed. A few days before around June fourth I had booked a Nissan Micra with OK Mobility. Manual gear. Small car. Four doors and five seats. It felt just right for me as a tourist who likes to drive around a lot. The best part for me was the One-Dollar Freeze. When I made the booking I only paid one dollar. In that moment it felt a bit magic. It was like I just saved a spot and did not need to put all the money on my credit card at once. I was thinking about all the other things I still had to pay for and my mind was not so tight anymore. In my head I jumped back to a day at the office. I was sitting at my desk and checking my budget again and again. When I saw that the first charge was only one dollar that heavy feeling became much lighter. Later when the date came closer around the night of June fifth I suddenly remembered that the full car payment was not done yet. I worried for a second that I might forget it. Then I opened my card bill and saw that the rest was already charged before the rental start. Everything was done for me. I did not need to click many things and my credit card did not get a big hit all at once. On June sixth around seven in the evening I went to the OK Mobility office in Zakynthos to pick up the car. When I walked out from the counter I thought again about that one dollar moment and I almost laughed. It felt like I had made a small deal with my future self. The car was parked outside. The blue body of the Micra was shining in the sunset. I pulled my luggage and walked to the car. In my mind I said that if every booking could start like this with just a small payment first and the rest later then the days before the trip would be much less stressful. For me this whole thing was like taking a deep breath before the journey. My budget was not emptied at once and I felt more brave to plan more things on this trip with QEEQ.

Price Drop Protector

I booked my car with QEEQ and there was a small story about the price. One day I was checking my travel budget and I saw my credit card pending charge. The amount for the car looked a bit different from what I remembered. It looked a little cheaper. I thought I made a mistake so I checked my emails and booking details again and again. Then I remembered that when I made the booking I saw a service called Price Drop Protector. It said if the price goes down they will book again and give me the difference. At that time I just clicked it because it was there and I did not think much. When I looked at the old price and the new price this time I saw it was really cheaper than my first booking. It felt like I got a free meal money. The funny thing is I did not do anything extra. I did not watch the price every day. When I noticed it everything was already done. My booking was still confirmed but the price was better. For a student who travels abroad and needs to watch the budget this kind of passive saving feels really nice. I think this feature fits people like me who always wonder if the price will be lower after a few days. It saves me from checking prices all the time. For me it was just a normal booking and later I found out I had more money in my budget so I could enjoy a few more iced coffees in Athens.
