One-Dollar Freeze

That evening in Zakynthos the sky was still bright and the wind came from the sea. I was looking at my booking on my phone and I felt very relaxed. A few days before around June fourth I had booked a Nissan Micra with OK Mobility. Manual gear. Small car. Four doors and five seats. It felt just right for me as a tourist who likes to drive around a lot. The best part for me was the One-Dollar Freeze. When I made the booking I only paid one dollar. In that moment it felt a bit magic. It was like I just saved a spot and did not need to put all the money on my credit card at once. I was thinking about all the other things I still had to pay for and my mind was not so tight anymore. In my head I jumped back to a day at the office. I was sitting at my desk and checking my budget again and again. When I saw that the first charge was only one dollar that heavy feeling became much lighter. Later when the date came closer around the night of June fifth I suddenly remembered that the full car payment was not done yet. I worried for a second that I might forget it. Then I opened my card bill and saw that the rest was already charged before the rental start. Everything was done for me. I did not need to click many things and my credit card did not get a big hit all at once. On June sixth around seven in the evening I went to the OK Mobility office in Zakynthos to pick up the car. When I walked out from the counter I thought again about that one dollar moment and I almost laughed. It felt like I had made a small deal with my future self. The car was parked outside. The blue body of the Micra was shining in the sunset. I pulled my luggage and walked to the car. In my mind I said that if every booking could start like this with just a small payment first and the rest later then the days before the trip would be much less stressful. For me this whole thing was like taking a deep breath before the journey. My budget was not emptied at once and I felt more brave to plan more things on this trip with QEEQ.

Price Drop Protector

I booked my car with QEEQ and there was a small story about the price. One day I was checking my travel budget and I saw my credit card pending charge. The amount for the car looked a bit different from what I remembered. It looked a little cheaper. I thought I made a mistake so I checked my emails and booking details again and again. Then I remembered that when I made the booking I saw a service called Price Drop Protector. It said if the price goes down they will book again and give me the difference. At that time I just clicked it because it was there and I did not think much. When I looked at the old price and the new price this time I saw it was really cheaper than my first booking. It felt like I got a free meal money. The funny thing is I did not do anything extra. I did not watch the price every day. When I noticed it everything was already done. My booking was still confirmed but the price was better. For a student who travels abroad and needs to watch the budget this kind of passive saving feels really nice. I think this feature fits people like me who always wonder if the price will be lower after a few days. It saves me from checking prices all the time. For me it was just a normal booking and later I found out I had more money in my budget so I could enjoy a few more iced coffees in Athens.

Price Drop Protector

I want to先 say how I felt because this time the best part of booking my car with QEEQ was not the car itself. It was their Price Drop Protector. It really felt like I earned some money for free. Around the beginning of June I was planning my summer trip to Athens alone. I searched different sites on my laptop and finally picked a Peugeot 208 on their page. It is manual with four doors and five seats. For a solo trip it looked just right for me. I remember it was around June 4 in the evening. I was in my room, doing my budget and thinking that everything is more expensive this year and travel costs a lot. When I was making the booking I saw the words Price Drop Protector. It said that if the price goes down later they will book it again at the lower price and send the difference back to me. In my head I thought many platforms like to write nice things like this and you never know if it really works. But I did not need to do anything extra so I just kept it. I felt there was nothing to lose. After some time I checked my email and saw a new confirmation for a new order number and another email that said the price was now lower. At first I thought I made a mistake and booked twice. Then I read it more carefully and saw that they had rebooked the same trip for me with a cheaper price and the difference would be sent back to my card in CHF. I live in CH so I read that number in Swiss francs. It was only a few francs but at that moment it felt really nice. It was like someone was watching the price for me in the background. The best part was that I did nothing. I did not search again and I did not need to talk with customer service to ask for a change or a coupon. The system just fixed it for me. I was just sitting at home with a drink, looking at my emails, and suddenly there was a message saying that I saved some money. For someone like me who plans a solo trip by myself this passive saving is very good and it also lowers my stress about always checking prices. My booking is for early July in Athens. I will pick up the car around July 1 in the afternoon a bit after four at Athens and I will return it around July 8 in the afternoon around two. Because I travel alone I am careful with my budget. I even think twice about an extra snack with a coffee. So this small refund on my rental is like getting one simple lunch paid by the system. One more thing that made me feel safe is that even though they rebooked it the type of car and the main conditions did not really change. It was still the small car I wanted and it is good for the streets in and around Athens that are not so wide. The email explained it in a clear way so I did not worry that the car company would give me a much worse car just because the price went down. I do not know a lot about cars. I just want it to be safe and clean and not crazy on fuel. Now with the lower price it feels even more worth it. After this I remember this automatic price check feature very well. When I book flights or hotels I often feel a little regret and think I bought too early. I worry that the price will drop and I will lose money and I keep checking again and again. This time it was much more relaxed. After I booked the car I did not go to other sites to compare. I just waited for my trip and felt like someone was watching it for me. If the price does not change then fine. If it drops then I get a small surprise like this time. I am a student and I travel alone so I do not have a lot of income. Every small saving is important. A few francs might not be much for some people but for me it is a small happy moment when I am working hard on my budget. That night when I saw the email about the refund I even took a screenshot and sent it to my friends and told them I did nothing and still saved money. They all said this feature was pretty cool. Now when I think about why I chose to book my car there it is not only because the car looks right for me. This Price Drop Protector is also a big reason I feel good about the booking. I feel like my wallet is taken care of and I do not need to watch the price every day or feel like I am the fool who paid more for booking early. For me this automatic refund on price drops is much better than getting some complicated coupon or discount rules that are hard to use.

One-Dollar Freeze

When I think about driving around Crete with my kids, the first thing in my mind is not the sea or the old streets. It is the feeling when I booked the car and only paid one dollar at the start. I booked through QEEQ and I was planning a family trip, so flights and hotels already used a lot of money. When I saw the full rental price for the car, I felt a bit stressed. Then I noticed a plan called One-Dollar Freeze. It said I could pay only one dollar first to lock the booking and the rest would be taken automatically before the rental started. I felt my chest relax a little because I had more time to breathe. That night I sat on the sofa and my kids were next to me asking if there would be a big beach where we go. I was calming them down and at the same time looking at the total amount on the screen. I thought if I paid everything at once now, my credit card would feel very tight. I tried the one dollar payment and it went through with no extra charge. I felt this plan was good for a family like us because our travel budget was already cut into many parts. Close to May 20, I checked my card and saw that the rest of the money was taken before the trip started. It was very quiet and simple. There was no interest and no strange extra fees. My bill was very clear. On May 22 in the evening, when we were near the airport in Crete and walking to the Avis counter to pick up the Opel Corsa, I was not worried about the payment at all. I only cared about the child seat and if our bags could fit. For me, paying just one dollar first to hold the car was a big help during that busy planning time. It made the start of the trip feel less painful for my wallet and my head felt much lighter.

One-Dollar Freeze

Can you really book a car with just 1 dollar first and keep it? I was not sure at the start. I needed a seven seat car in Mykonos and also two child seats for my 5 year old and 2 and a half year old, so the money felt like a lot. I booked through QEEQ and chose the One-Dollar Freeze plan and I only paid 1 dollar to lock the Volkswagen Caddy for our Mykonos trip. What was I worried about? I asked myself if they would take all the rest of the money at one time or if there would be some extra fees. After some days I saw that they only took the rest of the money from my credit card before the rental started and it was in a few charges. I got a notice each time. I checked every amount with my booking and it was the same. There was no interest and no strange extra cost. Why was this way so important for me? Because I also needed money for the trip and for the kids and if I paid the full rental at once my credit card would feel very tight. With this plan I only paid 1 dollar at the beginning so I felt much more relaxed. When it got close to our travel date I could just look at my bill slowly and it was fine for me. As the days got closer to late May when we would fly to Mykonos I felt more and more happy that I chose this plan. Around the 20th or 22nd our flight would land in the evening. My wife would walk with the two kids and I would go out first to the counter to get the car. In my mind it was very calm because the car was already booked long before and the payment was already done step by step so I just needed to pick it up. If there was no way to book with only 1 dollar first I might wait longer to book or I might choose a smaller car that is not so good for a family. With this plan I kept the bigger family car and my credit card did not feel too heavy. The whole time before the trip felt much easier for me.

Price Drop Protector

"Dad, why did you say you saved some money" my daughter asked me while she was playing in the living room. I looked at my phone and smiled. I told her that when I booked a car on QEEQ, the Price Drop Protector helped me save some money. A few days before that, I had just booked the car for Crete. I planned to go there with my family in early June. I chose a small manual car from Exer with four doors and four seats. It was just right for us as a family. The price looked fine when I booked it, so I just paid. I did not really think about any future price drop. One morning I was on the metro and checking my email. I saw a message that said the same car was now cheaper and they had already rebooked it for me at the lower price. They would also give me back the difference. At first I thought it was some random ad. Then I read it again and saw it was from my booking and from the Price Drop Protector I had picked. I felt pretty surprised because I did nothing special. I just booked like normal and they watched the price for me. I opened my booking and checked the car and the times again. It still showed the car in Crete, pickup around midday in early June and return early in the morning a bit later in June. Everything was the same. Only the price was lower. I did a quick count of the money I got back. It was not a huge amount but for a family with kids every bit is useful. I can use it to buy more ice cream or small gifts for my daughter. When I told my wife about this she asked me if there were any hidden rules. I showed her the email and the booking again. It felt like I got a small free bonus for the trip with no extra work. I did not need to keep checking prices by myself. For me as a parent who needs to watch the kid and also plan the trip this made things much easier. Later when I talked with my friends about car booking and travel budget I told them about this price drop protection. They said this kind of service is not very common.
