“Fox rentals confusion over vehicle class and insurance at pick up location.”
About FOX RENT A CAR:9.0/10
Finding the pick up location was easy enough although I was surprised at how far away it was from the airport. When we arrived the person we dealt with initially told us there were no jeeps available even though we had ordered a Mustang/Dodge Charger or similar via the QEEQ app. Eventually we were told that we could take a Dodge after a short wait whilst the agent went off to check. Then we were told that Fox Rentals don’t recognise our full premium insurance that was paid for using the QEEQ app!! Not sure if this was a ploy to force us to buy their insurance but we did not - not a good experience!
The Car was great and the drop off in LA was easy and done within a couple of mins.
About QEEQ:10.0/10
Would suggest improving rental companies acceptance of using 3rd party premium insurance providers such as the AXA policy offered by QEEQ. I don’t know why Fox refused to accept this but it’s very frustrating and so unnecessary. We basically had to sign a form to say we would not be using their insurance and taking all the risk.
They had run out of Fiat Tipos so upgraded us to the next size up. This was welcomed as I think we'd have struggled to fit all of our luggage otherwise.
Drop off was misleading and totally confusing. Was supposed to open at 05:00 and I was there at 05:30. Gates were marked in red tape to say closed and open at 7 written over the 5. Return to car centre. Also why an extra charge to travel in Northern Ireland.
Car had not been checked before collection - on 2nd day of rental the engine warning light came on and on my inspection the engine coolant level was very low so had to purchase coolant to fill up the reservoir!
Alamo staff knew nothing about the "$1" deposit scheme and it took a long time to convince them they should not take the full Alamo deposit!
Car was OK but older than I would have expected and was quite tatty.
About QEEQ:8.0/10
Booking process was OK - price drop didn't find any savings!
Counter service staff was prompt and friendly. She has assisted us with a change of car smoothly and it went smooth on our journey with the car we rented with Hertz.
About QEEQ:8.0/10
Price is good compared to other booking platform and hence helped with some savings. Booking app was easy to use.
Car was quite dated. few errors on dash. not what I would expect for the cost. Was upsold insurance and sat nav. Sat nav was only a tablet running google maps which was no more reliable than the phone we brought
“Mostly good, car exchanged due to break in - exchange was slow”
About AVIS:8.0/10
Quick and friendly pickup. Unfortunately our car got broken into and we had to exchange it on the last day. Exchange took forever. Nobody seemed to know what they were doing.
I’d not used Cizgi before - and so was a little bit apprehensive. However, I got the exact 7 seater that I had booked and the car was fine.
Staff were polite and helpful - and it was exceptionally easy to collect the vehicle. No hard sell for buying extra insurance.
I’m always nervous about giving a car back - and the car hire company trying to blame a scratch or dent on me - but this was very easy. Drop off took no more than a few minutes and they hardly checked the car at all.
Very impressed with the whole process, finding the pick up point was easy, the booking staff were very polite and efficient.
From being picked up to driving away in a brand new car took about 20 mins.
Highly recommend Click Rent
“Poor communication, unfriendly and inconsiderate staff”
About Europcar:9.0/10
Poor communication to customer
I requested for a Mercedes Benz and on nowhere on my booking confirmation that it states clearly that I must have a credit card. I was denied the car of my choice as I don’t have a credit card. They did not accept my debit card. The manager at Europ car classified your website as “dodgy website”.
There was no mention of a specific amount of deposit, I was asked to pay $500 before they can release a car of my choice even though I’ve been denied my preferred car- Mercedes’
I was given a car called GM, which took more time for me to understand it’s logistics and I have a child with me
I rate this the worst travel ever
