Horrible customer service. For one, the guy at the pick up didn't seem very motivated. He did not offer additional insurance, or rather he gave more information about it reluctantly. He seemed stressed, like he didn't really have time, and he got more stressed when I asked additional questions. For two, when I had an accident and couldn't return the car, it took 2.5 hours!!! on the phone to clarify things. Had to recall several times and each time got a different information than in the call before let alone the person didn't seem to know what was talked about in the last call. Also, the company said they would call back, which they never did. I had to find out myself bothering other people that things had to be taken care of.
The drop off took over an hour as the office did not open until 7:30 am, but our flight was 8:25 am. Good thing Krabi Airport is small, so there was no problem going through security checks and going to boarding gate.

We understood we were getting a Toyota Corolla or equivalent- whilst the Suzuki Swift was good it can not realistically be considered equal in engine and other size to the Suzuki
The only issue we have was only while picking up the car. We came on time at 9am however the car was not ready. We have to wait for them to clean the car and we told them that we were rushing. Once we get the car, we ask the staff if we need to do anything else, complete the paper work or make any deposit payment twice but he said ni. We left the place and we got a call asking is to turn back. It’s a miss communication internallh they need our credit card details for deposit. We cant turn back and I have to provide my details via the phone. Service at this Centre definately need to be improved.

The car only had a quarter tank of fuel despite there being a full tank policy and Budget retained a fuel deposit. However, upon notifying Budget, they assured me that there would be no charges to my account.
I’m very disappointed about the woman that was attending at the counter (14/10/2022-23:00aprox Melbourne airport). When she knew that we are Colombians she started to talk about cocaine and the good quality of Colombian cocaine. For me and my brother, it is a terrible disrespect and it is even almost a racist and discriminatory comment, in her position as a client attendant, she has to be respectful of all people and cultures instead as she did following a bad stigma about a country to frame us as bad people.
in Colombia, we are more the good people than the bad ones and drugs are not anymore the main thing in a country full of culture and good people.
On the other hand, she had a bad attitude attending us, with a poor explanation about the process. for example, she charge me $100 but she wasn’t clear for what reason I had to pay that. (I suppose it is a bond that will be returned to my account) because when I did the booking I paid for everything.
(At this time, I don’t know anything about this $100 and I would like to know when will be my money returned? )
It is a shame just an only one person with a very bad attitude destroys the whole experience and good name of a company. Forgetting the bad experience at the counter all was good and the car was great.
That’s why we have a bittersweet taste about the experience renting a car in budget.
