The Goldcar checkin staff have ruined my Italy holiday. The female employee who handled my rental lied to me. I was double charged the insurance hold I agreed to, despite repeated denials and despite me showing proof from my credit card account. As a consequence my credit card exceeded its credit limit and I was unable to pay for my pre-booked hotel accommodation. I had to sleep in the rental car and the airport for the first two nights until the first block was reversed on my credit card. I will be making a formal complaint when I return home.

Digital clock kept flashing which was a bit distracting at night, 10 minutes after I drove out the fuel gauge dropped. Drop off was very efficient except they could not give me proof of condition, I had to take a photo of the ipad screen.

GOLDCAR is absolutely horrible. They do not honor reservations and types of cars. They demanded insurance even after I refused as I have card coverage. Also, I was given a standard car. Lucky I know how to drive one.

Upon pick up, I was informed I would not be handed the keys unless I paid for extra insurance. This was not advised to me at any process of the car rental portion. I ended up paying over $500 more for the car than initially told. Not once was I advised about this.

The whole personal (pick-up, car return and customer service) was extremely extremely rude. They have offered me a bad car, with lots of km that was supposed to have the last rental with me (it was written on it "no fuel")
I have received an invoice with 50 eur penalty + 13 eur for petrol charge even if I have returned the car with 2/8 as mentioned on the booking.
A Fiat 500 was available at the moment of booking but they didn't wanted to offer it even if I have asked and booked it. They have offered me this very used Renault Clio and have threatened me that if I don't accept it, they'll mark me as no show. Whole process took around 1 hour.
Me Antonio (man with a beard within 4th floor was not speaking very well English and when I have tried to speak Italian mentioning I don't speak it very well, he was aggressively correcting my spelling but he couldn't speak English even if working for an International car company).
Francesca and Fernanda from 2nd floor didn't wanted to help either.
This is the worst rental experience I have ever had, I rent around 10-15 cars per year, this was the first time with Goldcar but probably the past one.
I don't know how to cancel the invoice for mussfuel considering that I have pictures that prove I was wrongly charged.

Stop working with Golscar Fiumicino.
They are scam artists. Stuck me with a diesel car which wasn't on my rental agreement, then charged me an extra tax ("pollution tax") when my agreement said all taxes and surcharges were included. We discovered about 45 mins. after we left the rental facility that we only got 1/2 a tank of fuel. Called the company immediately who told us to email them the photograph of our fuel gage. Never received a response. We had only driven about 80km (about 50 miles) when we noticed. I drove further than that on the return and it only took about 2 gallons and cost about 10Euros for fuel. When I returned the car with exactly the amount of fuel I got, they argued with me, blamed it on me and then charged me for fuel and a fine. They pushed it off to customer service when it was their own people who told us to email THEM. I will be disputing this with my credit card company.

Counter staff was helpful I think his name was Marco, Got new car
one issue about the car that there was no fluid for the windscreen wipers,
& one issue with the GOLDCAR as they didn't release the amount of money blocked on my Credit card almost 8 days passed till now with no issue with the car when i returned back!!
