Absoultely awful - i am currently trying to make a complaint but even that is proving difficult. We were waiting for our car for over half an hour as such we were in a hurry to leave. We were told that we needed to bring the car back with a full tank of petrol other we would be charged 175 however when we were giving the car, the petrol was nearly on the warning as such we had to fill the car up before we had even got started!

Excellent vehicle. The gps voice direction was mostly wrong. It was giving wrong voice instructions and I started to ignore it and followed the visual (map) and the road signs to correctly take the directions I needed.

They could not check the car in quickly as it was a 30 day hire. I was there for almost an hour and a half whilst their computer gave problems. They then tried to bill me one day extra at a high day rate when I actually handed it in a day early! They then corrected this but I must look at my statement next month to ensure they did not bill me extra.
The car was parked on its own in my private driveway in the country but they have accused me of a small scratch at the back above the bumper. This was already on the car and was not me but they are charging me for it.
No-one went round the car with me on pick up and there was no-one there when i dropped it off
Terrible - will never use Hertz again
When I try to pick-up the car, they required insurance even I paid for super cover insurance. I have used this application several times, and I always using super cover. But they said I paid for other company. I can not understand this situation. So I had no choice and went trip without insurance. It was very terrible experience.
Terrible service on the way in. It took 2 hours to get the car as they seemed to have been surprised by the number of clients around a bank holiday. Not all the desks were in operation and their processes and systems seemed broken. We have done similar check ins in less than 5 mins before and generally in the 5-15mins range.

I would have offered to pay it.But to say i would have

Due to a flight change (out my control), I arrived 5 hours earlier than expected.
Although, I have a 7 month old baby, the initial view of check-in desk staff was for us to wait a total of 5 hours before we were able to pick-up the car (unless I was willing to pay for an upgrade). Only after speaking to the manager, who clearly understood that you can't have a 7 month-old baby waiting for 5 hours, we were offered a small SUV that was immediately ready.
Somehow this car was ready, while originally it wasn't available. This was appealing and this made the whole experience pretty bad.

The booking platform was good, but as flights change, I would suggest a functionality that allows you to change the time of the booking easier without affecting the price (if the time is within a certain period)

We were a little over an hour past the pickup time and they had returned the car to inventory. It took 90 minutes for a new car to arrive and it then had 1/2 tank of diesel but since we did not see the car before getting in I signed it was full as that was what the driver said. We did get £30 refund for the half tank of car upon return.

The pick up staff fromLuton Airport branch is friendly, informative and helpful! The staff from dropoff branch -Victoria Stations was effective. Direction and information was cleared to return and park the car.
