CAR RENTAL REVIEWS ON FOX RENT A CAR AT ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, MCO

Car was fine. Met our requires very well. Extremely disappointed with Fox representative. We were pressured to take a larger vehicle but decline. Strong armed into taking a costly Toll package, that we later realized we did not need. very disappointed about that. Also very high pressure to purchase insurance by this representative even though we had coverage through our own insurance company. Will be calling Fox to get Toll package fees reduced.

Booking was fine

I was given an older car due to fact that I rented through a third party vendor and the cost was much less than what they rent for.

The guy insisted we take out extra insurance that he said was mandatory in Orlando which I knew wasn’t but he said it was and we had to take it out so it cost us an extra $180 which I found out later it was optional.

I didn’t realise we had to pick the car up off the airport so for future reference I wouldn’t book unless car was at the airport

Great smooth booking and notifications

A worst experience and I had to wait more than an hour in line to get my turn. The counter staff Jessy gave me a paper with lots of charges 100$. She did not even ask me to add additional. I picked up car and I realized extra charges went back to speak to them . Very bad experience staffs are rude and worst place .

The car did exceed the expectations

Fox only had three employees checking people in and it took over an hour to get my rental. The 2017 Dodge Grand Caravans outside appearance was bad with dents, scratches and other damage. The 24 hour roadside assistance and Fox customer service suck. On my last day of vacation, the van broke down. It took over an hour of continuous calling to talk to a representative to get a tow. It took even longer to get a tow truck. I was stuck with my wife and two young children in a not so good area of town where prostitutes and drug addicts were hanging out, but Fox and the 24 hour roadside assistance people acted like they could care less. My family spent over 3 hours before a tow truck came. The final insult was Fox charged me $7.99 per gallon for gas for a total of $99.88 when the van was towed back because it had 3/8 tank of gas. I could go on, but will finish my comments now.

Waited over an hour for pick up at Orlando international. Had to call and ask if they were coming as it was advertised they pick up every 10 minutes. Many people standing and waiting. Long line up at counter, felt like they needed more staff. Car was perfect for what we needed

We arrived at the airport at 12:10am, we waited for the shuttle until 1:30am. We were told the shuttle was every 10-15 minutes but waited over an hour and there were a lot of people waiting. Once at the car rental office we stood in line with dozens of other people and waited for hours! We didn't get to our hotel until 4;00am and it was only a couple miles away, almost a 4 hour process. The wait was terrible and the first car we were given smelled so bad we went back in for another. We were given another vehicle that also smelled but because of the late hour we took it and drove off. The next day we were driving and my son started complaining he had been bitten. We stopped and pulled over and upon inspection of his seating area found it to be invested with ants that had been biting him. He had quite a few bites and we tried to call the rental center but couldn't get through, the message kept saying they were not available. We were about an hour away on our way to a college tour so turning back wasn't an option. We stopped at a store and bought a can of raid and doused the ants. The vehicle had dirty beverage cans and napkins in the back seat and the seats themselves were dirty! I will never ever use Fox Rent A Car again. This was a traumatic experience from the minute we got to the airport and just continued!!!!!!

The car was great But unfortunately the end total price was not like the reservation price The stuff added me package Or force you to add it by said you must do that Otherwise you not get car And it shouldn't be like this The price that customers need to pay is like the reservation price !!!

easy finding and using online site

I was very frustrated because I rented a Jeep Grand Cherokee Media SUV because I wanted a strong 6 or 8-cylinder car. I was handed a Mitsubish Outlander 4-cylinder SUV without any power, in with a noise in the rear wheels that appeared to be damaged wheel bearing. Very disappointed.

Nice car service was ok but I didn’t realise third party insurance wasn’t included in the rental price & loads of hidden extras were charged wouldn’t recommend using them again. Should’ve known better but after a long haul flight it’s easy to get stung big time !!

The car type I requested wasn’t on the lot when pick up

This was a classic bait and switch situation in which I booked one vehicle and was very specific about what I needed but once I got to Fox they didn’t have the vehicle I booked so I had to take something else for a lot more money.

A complete scam they bait and switch their customers. I rented a car and paid in full online, only to get to the counter and be told I needed an additional $60+ in charges. I will never rent from this company again, they are completely dishonest.

The car was dirty and had multiple damaged areas on the exterior. I am glad I took the time to inspect it before I left and fill out the paperwork properly because they thought I caused damage upon return. I also believe they try and up sell the tolls and insurance too much without much information to the consumer.

Booking was easy and I will use Easyrentcars for my trips from now on.
