Avoid Europcar in Italy

About Europcar: 3.7 /10
Audi A3 diesel is a good and low km car. However it took over 90 mins to get served and receive the car. Other patrons had the same experience - we were not alone. Car arrived dirty, damaged and with low oil warning light on. I've never had to add oil for a hire car before. Europcar later tried to blame me for damages to the vehicle, thankfully we took many pics on receipt of the vehicle to prove our innocence. Customer service at Europcar have been unresponsive to emails throughout the experience.

Difficulty finding a petrol station and ran out of time. (Not their fault) Ridiculous that they charge a filling fee on top of the cost of the petrol. 22€ fee.

A very long wait at pick up point to be abe to hire the car. Not great after a long haul flight... The pre booking system should be an advantage somehow, but didn't seem to be.

Europcar have worst customer service ever, I had an emergency which I needed to speak to there pick up office but for a whole an hour they wouldn't pick up the phone, and so I had to go back to there office which took more than an hour and when I reached I asked why aren't you answering the phone they said there busy to answer phone and furthermore I was mistreated in a horrible way

It was really easy from start to end! The pick up point at Civitavecchia from the cruise gate drop off point was very convenient (you should emphasize this). The explanation given to drop off at FCO at Block B, Level 3 was also helpful.

Car was full of white waterspots and the front was not cleaned well. Although with only 3900 km on the colck had many scratches especially the interior. There was some rattle from the undercarriage of the car as well. Otherwise ok. They did not specify where to dropoff the car (what lot number to be parked in). It would help if there were any sighs at arrival hall where their office is, since it is in another building on the other side of the airport.
