Pick up at Queenstown Airport was smooth. Slightly further away from the airport but not too difficult to find. Return at Christchurch Airport was very fast as the lady did a quick check and everything was ok. They also offer complimentary drop-off to the airport

Seamless booking process

one of the car tires was not safe to drive and i suffered a side-wall blow out. Luckily, i was able to change the (small) spare and get to a service facility. Apex didn't give the best advice by phone, but when I returned with a receipt of service and the original tire, they quickly and professionally credited me for the charge I incurred.

It wasn’t clear that the name of the car company was Apex. This causes confusion and we missed our pickup. It wasn’t clear that a pickup was needed at all from the booking. This caused distress as it was pouring when we arrived and had an infant with us.

It wasn’t for this particular experience but for another incident that we had a lot trouble picking up the rental vehicle. This was in Gold Coast Australia. Our pick up time was at 4pm but we couldn’t arrive until 5:15pm. No one from apex was available because it has closed. We couldn’t pick up the car until the next day. It brought a lot of headache and anxiety. I do emphasize that when you book online for future reservations please make it in BOLD letters or an extra prompt indicating that we need to pay extra for after hour services and to indicate the time of your closing. That was a very unfortunate experience when we arrived at the parking lot to only find out it was closed and this was after we called 5 times without an answer.

Like: We were given a free upgrade. Very friendly staff with excellent communication skills.
Dislike: We were happy with everything.
