We had issues with Iights not working and been pulled over by the cops as we weren’t aware and had to wait for the local road side assistance,
Other then that the car was clean, well maintained and was lovely to drive.
The car had a mark we didn’t see on pickup . Needed the sun to highlight it. Took photo. On returning vehicle explained situation to staff. Was no problem.
We booked and got confirmed for a Toyota Camry, however when we picked up the car we got offered a Pulsar. So the front counter staff said he would get the manager to call me on the next day but I never receive any. He said he would expecting a Camry to be returned next day and would call but never happen but eventhough he should give me a refund credit for being offered a smaller car. In fact he tried to persuaded me to believe that Pulsar is similar to a Camry !! Until I said to him I used to live here and I bought a Pulsar in 1996 then he stoped.
Anyway the whole experience was bad.
the lady at the pick up point was a bit frosty and tried to sell extra insurance when l thought l had bought the top one.said we were upgraded but did not want an 8 seater kia carnival just for 2 people. the drop off was very good.
Wanted to write an email to provide some formal feedback on my experience with the customer service team at the Tugan car rental depot.
It was less than satisfactory and left me with a very poor impression on the way you deal and engage with your customers.
As a paying customer, you would expect that you are treated with friendly, courteous and respectful service - this was not the case when i picked up my car on Sunday 5//5/19 - instead was met with extremely poor attitude, no smile, short and vague responses - overall not a great example of how customers should be treated, i drove away with my car feeling ripped off and started what was supposed to a special getaway with my partner in a foul mood due your customer service.
I hope you take this feedback on board and communicate with your team at the Tugan depot so that other customers are not left with the same sour taste in their mouth as i did.

We didn’t expect that our credit card would be debited by about $400 as a “hold’ until after we returned the car. And then to have to wait up to one week to have this amount transferred back onto our credit card seems unreasonable.
Sure just a ho,d on the card would have been all that was required. Being on a tight budget we really needed that amount for our holiday
I was happy with the pick up process. It was fast and easy. And I have to commend them for availing a car for a last minute decision during the school holidays.
On drop off my daughter realised she had left my glasses in the car so went back to retrieve them and was told she couldn't go back to the vehicle. As we were getting ready to board our flight we left. I've been trying to call to enquire but have been left waiting to have my calls answered. I don't have time to use your online services I'm on the road for long periods and calling is way more convenient.
Carseat price was more than quoted through website as excluded tax.
Carseat installation was very very poor and wrong size for child. Would never hire carseat again
I ordered a highlander but was offered an outlander which would’ve cost me less if I ordered it , so instead went with a Kia Sorento with more space which had a way higher excess in which I had to get higher insurance which I hadn’t budgeted for of $527 NZD , highly annoying

car is quite old without bluetooth function so quite inconvenient using google map during driving .. would appreciate it if Cut Price Car rentals could alert me of absence of Bluetooth function inside car as these days we drive relying on google map connected to the car.

Very good overall except the pick up and drop off location is far away from airport and need to wait for shuttle bus to transport to and from the airport.
