    The car was old and in poor condition. The Full/Full agreement was not honoured even though i was able to produce the paperwork. On pick up the counter staff were abrupt and unhelpful. The car had several dings and dents that were not recorded which is not good. There was no Air conditioning in the car. On drop off they were such more helpful but it did take a long time

    We were met at the Airport and taken by Mini Bus to the rental location. We were not expecting this . however the location was conveniently situated to the motorway and everything was explained clearly. Although booking the smallest car we were very pleased to receive a virtually brand new larger car .

    Had booked full to full and were told to bring back at same level as if a difference, would be charged a high amount - petrol station across the road!!!! Very high excess charge out with hours - 8pm 35 euros. On checking in, very unfriendly and unhelpful. Would have been nice to see a smile and shown how to operate the car. On the plus side -automatic and a hybrid!

    the car was perfect for the two of us, we were pleased with it for a small car very comfortable, it was not clean inside or out, apart from that happy with the car, the only issue I have is the drop off was not clear on my booking papers it said drop off at airport the shuttle driver said to park the car at car park 1 and pointed out where to park, it was not clear on papers from rental desk where to return car it gave a map of location but no return details, this needs to be made clearer, we would use this company again.

    Great car, price and service. The bad reviews on here are from people who didn’t do their research up front. If you don’t buy Surprice insurance, they will require a hold of a couple thousand euros on your credit card. They will charge extra for “off-hours” pickup/drop. Understand these conditions and you won’t find a better deal in Faro.

    La mauvaise surprise à l'annonce du montant de la caution prélevée sur le compte bancaire : 2490 € !!! Alors que le plafond international de prélèvement d'une carte visa est de 2400€;;;cherchez l'erreur! Au comptoir un dimanche midi face à une personne qui refuse de parler un minimum anglais et qui vous propose comme seule solution le paiement de leur assurance magique qui permet de baisser considérablement le prix de la caution à 400€. Le prix de départ de 44,90 € imbattable s'est transformé à 190€ ce qui pour le coup faisait cher pour les prestations offertes (obligation de prendre une navette pour prendre la voiture)!! Le budget vacances s'est vu fortement réduit!

    Booked a fiat 500l but on arrival got told all they had was a fiat panda because of this struggled to get suitcases in but luckily went with friends and they managed to get my suitcases in there car. Surprice wasn't bothered about this though I had booked a larger vehicle. I only excepted the fiat panda due to having 3 children with me and it being late at night. Would never hire another car from them!!

    Had to wait 10 to 15 minutes for pick up of shuttle bus and depot about 10 mins from airport and difficult to fined when returning car We were charged another 35 euros as they said we were late but when booking the car rental we stated pick up time 8.00pm and we were there at 7.50pm and suttle bus didn't arrive till 8.05pm also told if we used the toll bridge by mistake we would be charged another 35 euros other car rental companies would just charge us the toll bridge charges so we will not be hiring from Surprice again

    Hired a Seat Ibiza or similar - received a Toyota Yaris, which is more of a budget model than I would have expected. The car was brand new though so that was a plus. Initial pickup was fine, but car was experiencing major faults when idling - twice the engine fully cutting out at busy roundabouts. Decided car was not fit to drive so once we finally got the car going again we drove back to the pickup point. Service centre were very quick to identify a loose battery connection, and also told us (then!) as to a trick with the Yaris that needs a double-pump of the clutch. Can't fault the service staff, as quickly resolved the issue. Annoying not to be told about the clutch particular though, as that should have been mentioned at collection of the car. Car was ok for the rest of the trip. Most annoying part has been communication with the head office since, where I have asked for some compensation to cover fuel and road tolls we incurred as a result of going back to the collection point to have the car fixed. Very little understanding and no empathy whatsoever. Really disappointed with this and won't recommend this company as a result.

    Well, first of all they never answered the phone when we tried to call to inform them that our flight had been changed and that we would arrive earlier. So when we actually arrived, they were not quite happy. Still, we got the car. But then, they asked for a credit card, which we had, but didnt want OUR credit cards so they made us pay an insurance to cover the "risk" of not having a credit card. Anyways, the car was fine and we were pretty satisfied with it. Just the employees were a bit off.

    Only comment is as the rental office is off airport need clear direction /assistance on how get car back to rental site and useful if client asks for help on arrival for onward travel. Staff were not helpful, I was told there was sat nav in the car , but found it a nightmare to use and I had no proper address for return journey to input . Something as simple as having the rental site saved as a favourite on the sat nav ? Or if client has address for onward location , shown how to use dat nav if going to use it when travelling ...It dies cause me some worry while I was away ., but good car , price and general service. It has made me think I’d rather have an on-site pickup at airport , no stress on getting lost and motorway fines.

    Worst experience in the past 10 years. I was refused to pay by debit card and given no option but to buy again the insurance at double the price I already paid online- €15/day because I didn't have a credit card. Charged an out of hours fee for dropping off the car before 8:00. Pushed into hiring a tag for motorway at €1.85/day when I had to pay the tolls anyway and could have done without it as you could pay with cash or card at pay points. I felt bullied and ripped off. Only had a Toyota Aygo with no cruise control, no parking sensors no key remote lock, but I paid the price for a large premium car. Never ever will use this company nor reccomend to anyone.

    The car was very basic. Collection was long, we had to pay for a toll road box in the car and they held my credt card details incase there was any damage they could take up to €1500 which was a worry as my card was empty for my holiday. Also we took out insurance with another company which they told us was not really the right thing to do. The car had alot of marks and scratches and we was told we will be charged for any imperfection no matter how small. On the third day the engine management light, anti skid break and exclamation warning lights all came on. I contacted them and emailed images they said 'oh don't worry as the lights are yellow its ok if they change to red then they will collect it and we will have to go to the office by taxi and get another car" so it was a worry to be driving it with all the lights on. The whole experience was not nice, I would never use this company again.

    La voiture était de bonne qualité, cependant on vous laisse avec des pneus sous-gonflés (le voyant s'allume donc peu de temps après) et dans la réserve au niveau de l'essence. Nous avons eu du mal à trouver le lieu de récupération de la voiture, sachant que c'était une navette qui nous emmenait au lieu réel de récupération (6-7 min de route). Nous avons mis une heure et demie ensuite au guichet pour finaliser les démarches (problèmes de communication, caution ÉNORME de 1875 euros pour le véhicule qui nous a fait dépasser notre plafond bancaire et donc ne faisait pas fonctionner la carte !). But it was a shame that when the car was returned, the petrol meter was broken and that the lady of the rental company did not believe that the tank was full. She didn't want to see the receipt, while the gas station is across the street from this rental company. It still feels annoying how the handing went.     I booked a Mercedes and got a Peugeot On return we went to the drop of point and it was closed. Someone turned up and as the transport was full as more families were waiting. I told the company I will drive my full van to the airport as I would of had to wait another 30 minutes. Also the wipers had a massive RIP in the middle so every time I wiped the window I had to use a towel so I could see My score is less than yours will never use again

    The car was new but the gear box had been clearly ragged about and reverse was easy to slip in to, few marks and scuffs but generally a good, large estate. The baby child seat that we paid over €50 for the week was useless. It was not secure using seatbelts and it was well used, it had no isofix base. The shuttle on collection did not have a car seat either and my baby had to sit on my knee. The pick up process was slow and painful. On both occasions (pick up and drop off) I heard many complaints about extra charges. We were also charged extra as the credit card was in my partner’s name and we had to add her as a driver, even though the t&c’s said if the cc was in the name of someone else, further ID may be required. Overall I think I will pay more in the future for collection at the airport, Surprice clearly need more staff and a smoother more streamlined pick up process.

    I advise not to rent from this company, although the prices are attractive. Between 8 p.m. and 8 p.m., a € 35 surcharge is requested to pick-up or bring the car. This while they advertise as a rental company for Faro Airport! Picking up after 8 p.m. is a real problem because they have 1 employee at the office. In my case there was a waiting time for more than an hour and a half. They give me a different car than ordered and the car was parked in a dark corner and the gas tank was not full. The car had to be inspected in the dark, so that a small scratch on the bumper was not noticed. When returning the car a few days later, the employee immediately walked up to the almost invisible scratch on the bumper and said that this would cost € 215,-. There was nothing to argue against this because the damage was not mentioned on the form! The car rental for 5 days actually came to € 300. It's better to rent at a famous brand such as Herts or Europcar, to prevent disappointments afterwards

    Getting to the pick up location was difficult. We had specified that we wanted a car that was at the airport, not offsite. This was disappointing and added an hour to the pick up time. There were not many signs, and only a small shuttle from the airport which meant a long wait. Once there, there was many additional costs that were not outlined in the original rental. Including a €35 fee for late pick up, which was really the company’s fault for taking so long to shuttle all the customers. Staff at the check in desk were rude, and short tempered when we asked them to repeat the details of the overage charges. They must understand in their line of work there will be a language barrier. The car itself was great, but would never rent from this company again. It ended up being just as much if not more than renting from a nicer company in the airport terminal, and not worth wasting time with rude staff and lugging bags across the airport.

    The staff where putting pressure on us spending more money on all sorts. This was not said when we booked. We ended up paying 171.95 Euros, was disgusting as we had our own insurance they said it didn't cover but it 100% did. As they said they didn't understand my argument they said is this amount or nothing. Then they charged huge amount on the credit card which I still wait to get back. Awful would never book again. We book cars at least 10 times a year and this was the worst yet due to adding money on top.
