“Car pick up totally not my booked type, no similar car type provided”

I have even spent more money to book my desire medium SUV car with brand Chevrolet Equinox. However, I could only be offered a Holden Commodore (not a SUV at all) when I picked up my car. The staff explained to me that the car was broken in accident. Anyway, I known accident is unavoidable, but I wonder why don't the staff arrange similar car for me? Its totally not a sport car type that I wanted. And no any notification to me, and I have no better choice other than that. So disappointed to my trip in these few day. Hopefullly it has not affected my trip, but feel something lose.
But the staff services are good overall!

Disappointing. I have raised a complaint about Europacar.
I arrived an hour early to pick up car and was told it was not back yet nor cleaned you have to wait. I was told that they have a small fleet of cars at the moment. I did not have much confidence at all in what I was being told. At 623 I got another Car (as nothing else in same class and was offfered a volvo or mercedes at increase costs) but still no sign of mine. So there seemed little possibility it would be back on time so why risk fighting Auckland traffic.
It was a bad experience. I went to pick up the booked car (Intermediate | Holden Commodore or similar) at Europcar Auckland, and was told that the car I wanted was not available, and the "similar" cars were not available as well.
They then proceeded to offer several other cars, which were all downgrades from what I booked online. I rejected the downgrades, and Europcar staff said "that's all they have", and that "they can't do anything about it".
I left the shop with a downgraded 1.4L Turbo Jeep Compass, which was much cheaper than what I have already pre-paid. I'll never use their services again.
The service at Europcar was fast and efficient. Since they didn't have my booked car model, I received an upgrade which was a very pleasant surprise. I booked a Toyota Highlander and received a brand new Mercedes GLC. I loved it!
The car was expected my expectation in a positive way as I was upgraded to a larger SUV which is nice and spacious.
It took awhile to queue to pick up the car. I think it could do it better with more staffs.

Like: Had small scratches. The staff didn't bothered even. Since I had full insurance, wanted to make clear documenting. Suggest to gain full insurance for little extra and be in full relax mode.
