I would rent from them again!

I loved how small yet zippy it was. The only problem was the battery died on one day and while the service was super polite, I was on hold for a VERY long time, eating up a whole afternoon. Part of this was my fault. I gave them the wrong [an old] French phone number. I had to call back to fix the error and then I was listening to some pretty terrible muzak for a looooong time. Once I connected there seemed to be some confusion: I was not in the system. It didn't occur to the man that I hadn't yet even been put in the queue. Once that was cleared up it wasn't long before a serviceman helped with boosting the car. A quick tutorial on the lights, etc, when I picked the vehicle up, might have [I'm not sure why the batter died, neither was the serviceman] avoided the whole scenario. Fortunately, I didn't have a train to catch that day and it just pushed back a trip to the grocery store.

On arrival into Geneva airport, we had chosen to book the car from France side rather than Swiss. This was an easy walk through the airport and a quick check of your boarding pass from the flight. On arrival into the car hire collection desks, it was easy to find Euopcar with their distinct branding. despite it being late at night and we were one of the last flights coming in. The attend could not have been more pleasant and helpful. A real change from when we hired a car earlier in the year through a different provider! The gentleman on the desk made things really smooth and easy to collect the car. He provided us with local instructions, how best to drive to our overnight accommodation and the best way back out onto the motorway in the morning to start our drive to final holiday destination. Would highly recommend Europcar.

When we arrived they told us they had no automatic vehicles, despite the reservation being made a month in advance and specifying that this was a requirement. They told us someone was returning one and we would have to wait. After an hour, they gave us the car which was actually a large SUV. We were told it would be a compact Toyota Prius or similar. This meant we spent way more in fuel costs than we should have. Unacceptable. We spent more than 50€ on a half a tank, and had no need for a vehicle this size. The vehicle was also not cleaned between the previous person and us, so it was quite dirty.

The car had 100000 kilometres and was dirty with stained seats, not the Mercedes Vito we booked and paid for. It was a Vivaro. I booked for 367 euros and even after getting a poor version of what we actually booked we have been charged 409 euros and still not received our 300 euros deposit back. I have £700 on my credit card!!!! Please can you help to sort this out?
